After you code your preferences, you really don't need it anymore. I look at the BimmerCode updates, but there isn't really anything left that I want to code in. We had a So Cal meet (I didn't attend), but I think members helped other members code their car for free. |

For those of you who coded ASD off, did any of you get a fault light on the dash? MyCarly support said you 'might' get one although the tool Can successfully code it out.

Just coded ASD out today with the bimmercode app, took 2 min, 0 issues
The stereo sounds about the same, i really can't tell if there's a difference in audio quality There isn't any white noise (i have a MY 2017) The biggest difference to me would be the large amount of drone that was present is now gone. It's unreal how much quieter it is in the cabin. Also i've realized that my exhaust (fabspeed sport cat + dinan res delete) isn't as loud as i thought. I can actually hear it for what it is now which is making me want to upgrade to something louder. |

Ive just read a lot of posts from MPE owners who complain about drone, which if Im not mistaken, is what you werent happy about. Good luck in finding an exhaust with just the 'right' amount of sound. The endeavor, however, might be akin to a fart in a windstorm.

I'm going with a Remus catback in unison with my fabspeed 200cell cat. Should be perfect.

I coded ASD off on my MY18 this evening. I’m really glad I did - BIG difference. For the better.

What did you use to code it?

Ive got the app and the adapter; just waiting to grow some balls to try it.. From what I gather, coding ASD off is simply a matter of selecting F20/F21 as our model range, and bingo, off it goes. Is that about what you did?

Turning off ASD makes the interior much more quiet. The "boominess" is gone but you can still hear the exhaust. As the thread title says, it's a "total win" for as far as I'm concerned.

The more important thing though for me, is BimmerLink on Android!
