Question Is it possibel to code right hand <-> left hand drive for adaptive headlights ?

As someone who goes often from left hand to right hand drive countries, i found myself having to disable adaptive headlights (as per the manual) when going to another country... Was wondering if that was an option we could code in...

Guessing not, because usually part of the problem on a Xenon HID is that there is a physical shield creating the cutoff. On some lights there is a way to basically "flip a switch" on the light and change the angle of the shield so you can change sides, but this varies wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer.

I would like to see a deeper tech dive on the lighting on the LCI - I don't believe it is known whether the adaptive LEDs are using individual addressable chips inside (no shutters), or if it's just an LED light source standing in for Xenon and otherwise the same (i.e. projector lens with cutoff shield tech).

Kinda have some hopes since these lights are constantly moving up down left right.

I remember my F30 LCI manual said LED and Xenons have a flat projection so they can be used across countries, however adaptives (both xenon and LED) might blind others during cornering because i suppose the height/ distance gets also adjusted.. ?

I also read the M2 manual which only mention Xenons obviously since I don't have the LCI, but same story.

Nope. The adaptives can't be coded over because it's a physical mechanism inside.

There is a tourist mode to switch between RHD and LHD. Not sure how well it works.
