Alright "experts"...time to weigh in.
I have done a lot of reading on this forum and other internet pages regarding suspension set up for my incoming M2 - finally my order has been sent to the plant after 11 months of waiting...so now only 3 more months to wait, lol!
I digress...looking at one of the following suspension set ups, but would like to hear thoughts/opinions from the forum: 1) Dinan HP CO set that is included in the S2 pack - CAD $1,800 - $3,437.40 with install and alignment 2) M Perf OEM CO - CAD $5,095.21 (includes install and alignment) 3) KW V3 CO F87 fitment - CAD $2,730 - $4,367.40 with install and alignment Other info i) I will be driving the car pretty much every day, except when heavy snow on the ground and would like to hit a couple of track days per year. ii) Plan on getting 19' V-FF 107s with 9 et21 245/35/19 Front and 10.5 et42 285/30/19 Rear iii) prices are in Canadian Dollars (FX to USD is 1.26), so please don't reply from NJ or CA saying the prices are a 'rip-off' All constructive input is appreciated. Ohlins would be my recommendation if you have to have coilovers. I'm running the Eibach springs and the car's handling really tightened up. I thought I'd need coils but after driving the springs I'm happy with them.

Also consider Moton or AST.

Ohlins has minimum advertised pricing and believe it or not, very little profit. The best price I've seen is $2950. Any one of the forum sponsors can probably get it for you at that price.
Most of the time Ohlins USA doesn't charge for changing spring weight but again if a company has it in stock they will most likely have the recommended specifications that the company specifies unless they are an Ohlins Installer/Certified Dealer. Make sure you are happy with the given spring rates from Ohlins |
