We got some great photos last year from Tyspeed of their PikesPeak BMW M2 Race car with a set of 18" APEX FL-5 wheels in Race Silver.

There certainly are! These wheels are actually in production as we speak waiting for machining. It may still be some time before we have them available and ready for sale given the container shortage, but we are working on making them available as soon as we possibly can! We are also adding 19x9 ET30 EC-7s which should give M2C customers another alternative winter fitment option or less aggressive front wheel option as well.

The 19x9.5" ET22 and 19x10.5" ET22 wheels are going to be quite aggressive on the M2 chassis and really not an ideal fit compared to some of our M2-specific offerings. You could technically make that setup work but you will need to dial-in a significant amount of front and rear negative camber, as well as roll the rear fenders to get everything to fit without rubbing. I highly suggest checking out our M2 fitment guide to browse some of our chassis-specific fitment available for that vehicle: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide Please let me know if you have any additional questions! -Geirsen

Will the EC-7 or FL-5 work in a square setup on a stock M2C? Thanks. |

The fitment guide includes all of our available fitments for the M2 chassis. We do not offer the FL-5 in a 19" diameter, so that will not be an option for the M2C. However, you can run a square setup with the 19x9.5" ET28 EC-7 wheels at all four corners. -Geirsen

The Apex wheels look perfect on M2’s. I think when I’m ready for rims on my OG they will be ec7’s. Not yet sure if I want a set of 18’s for winter, or keep my 437’s for winter and get 19’s for summer. I’d prefer to rock the ec7’s in the summer but that leaves me with my 19s for winters, which is less ideal imho.

What are your thoughts on squeezing a square 18x10.5 SM-10 setup? Lowered OG on MCS remotes w/ Vorshlag camber plates. Alpine white. I’d really like something in bronze but those options seem very limited.

This process has taken way longer than we expected and has been a frustrating issue especially for the newer chassis like the M2C and F8x M3/4. We are working on creating an ideal die both for wider wheels (18x11 et c) and 19" dies but have run into multiple setbacks on the production side hence the delays. The flow-formed wheels are much more flexible to produce as we are working with molds and can add or optimize fitments more easily. I believe the CS uses steel brakes that are dimensionally identical to the 2NH brakes found on all US Spec M2 Competitions (400mm rotors). These brakes require 19" wheels. The optional MCCBs also require 19" wheels. Quote:
An easier fitment to run would be our 18x10 ET33 wheels. These are a great option for a square setup and should be a direct fit provided that you run some negative camber up front with a spacer. These mods are similar to the 18x10.5s, but will be much less extreme on the 18x10 ET33s. 18x10 ET33: -Tom
