My ex M5 was the dimensions of the actual 3 Series.
I would love the M3 with that M xDrive. I will jump all over it.
I am sure that's coming for the next generation G80.

The size of the RS3 is also really nice - ~20% smaller than the F80, which would be about right.

Once again, lack of a true M compact sedan or hatch is a missed opportunity by BMW...M2GC would make me reshuffle the garage for winter tire space.
Man do I want a M2GC!!!! The perfect vehicle for me right now! My kids don't ride in my "fun" cars, very often either way (car seats and cheerios make me angry). 4 doors with M2 dimensions would rock.
M2GCCS. ?

It would be hard to add rear doors and maintain the sexy flared rear fenders though. The RS3 is an example of that.

That was funny....

Back on topic, I can't wait to see the RS3 @ the Chicago auto show this weekend. Might be my next car!
What did u think of it? it looked awesome!!! the R8 v10 in front of it detracted from my RS3 awe but i still stared at it for a few minutes.
If it were 80/20 split rwd/fwd and manual, i would already have one.

agree, it would take quite the feat of engineering but if they could...

I really liked it - I thought it looked really compact and Sport (but obviously not as aggressive as the M2). The TTRS and RS5 were also nice.

And that R8.

I wasn’t impressed that you couldn’t sit in any of the Ms either...

So as a current owner, how do you like it? I know people here are biased towards the RWD setup, but how would you compare the feel of the RS3 to your E92?

I am honestly interested in your thoughts - I can't wait to see the car this weekend at the Chicago auto show. How are you liking the looks? I don't think it looks as understated as some do, but I wonder if the lack of fender flares would bother me or not.

It's a really pretty car to me, especially from the front and sides. The 3/4 view is where you lose some of that bulldog stance that you get with the M2/3...
I honestly couldn't be happier.

Ride wasn't sporty enough for me so I lowered it, but other than that...the power is great, rear end slides around when needed, and it's just fun as balls.

Tuning (early) from others has dropped 1/4 times into the 10.5-10.9 territory. That's just good fuel, a tune, and few bolt ons. It's a tuners paradise...like think Evo in 2005.

I haven't had some QC issues the 2018 models had like sunroof rattles. My virtual cockpit is missing the subwoofer control, that's the biggest issue I had QC wise.

Drank a quart over 6500 miles. My 335i did the same too.

The M2 interior is average at best. Dakota leather sucks. And it looks no different to an M240i. Plus the seats are average.

Audi may not be flashy, but the quality of materials inside is better imo.

I'd still have an M2 over an RS3 any day if the week due to the engine and sound. But definitely not for the interior.
