2017 BMW M2 Performance Edition DCT- open allocation

Hi all...I figured I would post in here and see if anyone is interested in my dealership's only allocation of the M2 Performance Edition that is due to arrive at the VPC tomorrow. This M2 has the DCT and has an MSRP of $64,595. Please send me a private message or text me at 860-990-5599. Located in Connecticut.

I read that 93 of the 150 have been sold .. so people are buying these. That price does get up there wit the DCT ouch.

So, let me get this straight. There are dozens (if not hundreds) of people on wait lists for an M2. BMW takes precious production slots and builds a special edition instead of fulfilling existing orders? Seems this was a run of 150 "spec" cars with no buyers lined up to purchase. Doesn't make sense to me unless BMW was trying to get rid of excess MPE (and other parts) inventory.

Sounds more like those already on the allocation list who were asked if they are interested to add the package to the current build.

Yeah the dealer may inquire with people on the waiting list to see if they want this build. But yeah it's BS, all I see it as is trying to get maximum margin possible. They make sense of it by making it just 150 cars, so you get some limited build. With that said I see no reason this will hold value any better than a regular M2..

When I asked the Performance Edition M2's allocations are in addition to the regular M2 dealer allocations. They did not replace the standard M2 allocations.

Totally agree! For that extra $9000x 150 units, that's easy profit for BMW. It won't hold extra value since it doesn't stand out, also with the upcoming CS or whatever name it will be, this becomes a joke.
Only reminded me of all the non sense editions back in the E90/92 M3 era.

Btw, I thought it's only offer in 6sp, how would the dealer say it's m-dct?!

The M2 Performance Edition comes in both manual and DCT transmissions.

Holding value is subjective, buyers of used M2s are going to assume they've been driven hard and tracked...and that Performance Editions have been driven even harder and tracked more often!
