Alekshop l 700 miles M2 Track Setup
This M2 came in shortly after it was purchased. After it was completed it was a blast to slide it a few times around the block once it was setup.
We didn't spend much time focusing on painted reflectors but decided to add Fall Line monoball bushing anywhere they fit The new AP Racing kit is great and car stops on a dot now. KW CS 3-way to complete the setup and we went with 18x10 on all 4 corners with RE71R. We are not big fans running 275 on a 9.5 due to side wall flex so going with 10" wheel was a must. Car weighted 3609 with 160lbs driver weight and 1/2 tank of gas. Not too bad. Enjoy! Aleks. |

That is one heavy M2, it's way heavier than M3/4. Was it manual or DCT? Excellent job by the way, the car looks brilliant with those upgrades. I had the same shocks on my 1M and they are amazing. |

Are you running Apex EC7's?
I see you have 18 x 10" all round, but what concavity profile do you have (1,2,3). I had ARC-8s on an E46 and loved them, those wheels look great on your M2! |

They are EC7 18x10. I am not sure about concavity profile as it wasn't important during setup.

You guys do great work.
One of the 3 Agate grey GT4's that I've seen at Laguna has a small white Alekshop decal on the rear bumper. Passed me in turn one like I was valet parking. I was stock but it showed how well you guys set up cars. My question about the KW's is...Just from the pics, They look like a total PITA to get to the adjustments, wheels on. |

Hi, I am about to purchase that AP racing kit and have a question for you - why did you go with the CP9660 caliper instead of the CP9668? I really want the larger caliper but I also want to run EC7 wheels and am not sure if they will fit.
Thanks! |

I have a set of 18X10 EC7's with 275 Hoosiers from my E90 M3 and they don't look like they would fit my M2. How much negative camber are you running in the front? |

This is my car and I chose the 9660 because the added weight and concern over 18" wheel figment didn't seem worth the difference. I'm also guessing it has better pad selection. If you're not running a 24 hour race , why would you need the giant pad?

Patience Grasshopper! We're waiting on the caliper delivery from AP. The new rear caliper is incredible, and I'm sure it will be worth the wait for you. We did the test fit on an M2 the other week, and it looked fantastic. Thanks again for your business and your patience!

The CP9660 vs. CP9668 question is one we frequently get from customers. The two calipers are interchangeable in most of the kits we offer we these calipers. If you are endurance racing, the CP9668 with the 25mm thick pad is a no-brainer. If you're really lazy and don't ever want to change your pads as often, then the CP9668 is a viable option.
For 20-30 minute HPDE sessions or 40 minute sprint races, the CP9660 kit is more than ample, will give better wheel spoke clearance, weighs less, and costs $400 less. Both are the business though, and you can't go wrong with either. Here are some family pics that give perspective on the relative size of each caliper: CP9668 (largest), CP9660 (smaller front), and CP9449 (rear) Here are our two front caliper options next to the OEM front caliper: Here are the pads from left to right: CP9660, OEM front, CP9668 Here's what I like to refer to as the CP9668 pad burger pic. Inch thick pads kind of mess with peoples' heads when they see them for the first time. |

Camber is -3.4F and -2.4R. Drives like it's on rails.
