Same here, the car is already more than loud enough for her so I guess I won't be getting any exhaust upgrades apart from a sports cat/decat.

Best part of MPE: cold start with MPE in TRACK mode (vales open) and car in Sport +!!!!
You know it's going to be a good drive

My F80 does this with the MPE. I think it's actually the rear diffuser rattling on mine during initial start up. Goes away after a few seconds but definitely some shaking and rattles while she roars to life

I have the MPE since the break in service. Now I have driven 2000km after it. I like how the MPE sound changes over time. The more often I drive on the motorway, the more subtl the sound gets. I thinks it will go on changing over the driven distance...
I can also confirm the shaking during cold start. From the inside at comfort setting it is fine from the sound point of view, but it sounds much <better> then the OEM exhaust. I had the issue that the connection between the cutted pipe and the MPE exhaust was gone loose after one week and there was a terrible sound during startup (loud rattle which disapears after 1 minute as temp goes up). Also the MPE tips looked over the bumper. Now after it was in at the dealer a second time, they managed to fix the connection and also rearranged the exhaust and now the tips are in perfect positions...seems not so easy installation for a 'normal' dealer with no experience. |

I don't get any of the start up buzzing. I waited before replying as I wanted to see if colder temps matter. As I've said before, I drive ( and start ) the car with windows down as much as I can. It is definitely revving louder but no buzzing. This is normal to me.

My M3 with MPE does that as well. I just assumed it was normal.

lol how many more people are going to quote the original post. just replying to the thread is enough. you dont need to quote the youtube video over and over. this is a pain to view on a mobile device..
great review of the exhaust and it sounds like it is worth the money even though there is no real performance gains

Are there no instructions that come with the MPE then in terms of what length to correctly cut the pipe so one does not have a silly amount of rear pipes sticking out of the back bumper?
I mean, is it literally up to the installer/dealership to decide where to cut (within reason obviously). |

I've heard Benzima's car in person. I can attest MPE on the M2 sounds amazing . Well worth it .

Interesting - someone here had posted the startup sounds of stock and mpe and based on that alone, I went with stock. Sounds like that is a temporary thing (pun intended?)
But I'm sticking with stock.

Since I'm definitely going with a DP--Fabpseed, sport-catted and sitting like a purty steel sculpture in my home office right now--I'm going to install it on a stock exhaust, evaluate the sound and then decide whether I'll stay stock.
Which, knowing myself, I probably won't. |

+1. It is the only thing I hate about pulling away with a cold car. Sounds like crap until it warms up.
