OK so I weighed them both and the results show that the Fabspeed is lighter. And also, with the mperformance exhaust.... It's awesome.... Turbo spool noise, burbles , pops.... It's awesome

Nice! I was merely going by feel and didn't weight but the OEM felt lighter carrying it in the box that the Fabspeed came in! Good to know I've shaved some weight with the upgrade too. Glad to hear you're happy, I'm running on stock exhaust but going for MPE when the new version is available. It sounds mega doesn't it!!

Yeah, I couldn't belive how good it sounds. You can clearly hear the turbo spool and it feels sharper

Thank you both for the kind words! And thank you kiysersosae for weighing that out for everyone!

And you both are correct. The Sport Cat really opens up that turbo spool sound and spool happens so much more efficiently. I have no doubt in my mind that the Sport Cat is the best upgrade for the M2!

You guys should post some reviews on our website and Yelp!

Did you guys get the Bypass as well or just the Sport Cat? I'm sold on the sport cat, but I'm unsure about if I'm going with the bypass. I may decide to do the bypass down the line or just get the Dinan or MPE exhaust. I want more sound without it being obnoxious. I'm going to be pulling the trigger here in the next few weeks - months and I'm gathering as much data as possible.

EL BAN How is the noise in comfort with the Bypass? Drone present at all?

Some drone is noticeable at 80mph in 6th gear. But it is not annoying or unbearable and you can still have a conversation in the car.

When the valve is closed on mpe it's fine, close to stock sound

You can't really compare the MPE with the Bypass. One has a muffler the other does not.

I'm doing this in stages, even though that might cost more dough. First step up is stock exhaust with the catted DP. Next will probably be the Dinan exhaust. If I still want more, then the Dinan resonator delete.

It makes more sense in my situation to start too quiet and build from there. Right now, with ASD coded out on a stock system, it's a little quiet.

The thing about sound, though, is that it is almost literally addictive. The more you get the more you want. So what sounds good at one point might sound wimpy when you hear the next stage...

I'm taking a similar approach. I'm getting the sport cat and Dinan resonator delete installed with stock exhaust. If I want more, I'll do something with the Dinan exhaust, or possibly another exhaust product.

Ha, my thoughts exactly. I was thinking about getting the Sport Cat first (maybe the res delete from Dinan as well) and then calling it a day. If I want more, then maybe go Dinan exhaust or something of that nature. I do have to admit though, EL BAN's car does sound great. At any rate, thank you all for your feedback.

Hamlet had a hard time making up his mind about a lot of things. For example, whether he should live or kill himself. "To be, or not to be....

Fortunately, a catted DP is not quite as serious

But here is hoping you made the right choice anyway, because I made the same one!!

Gotcha, well MPE, GTHaus, Akra, Dinan, Remus, Eisenmann to mention a couple all have a muffler. Easier to compare all those. Fabspeed removes it so it will most likely sound different than all others. The true thing is that no video can capture the true sound of all these exhausts, you need to be next to the car or riding it to really hear it.

I have a couple people in the FL area wanting to meet up to listen to it face to face, its the only real way to know what it really sounds like!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm sure your M2 will definitely make more power when the DP is installed on the car and not the basement haha!

A lot of guys do exactly that. They start off with the Sport Cat to gauge where they are sound level wise. Most people come back in a couple months and go louder!
