Oh boy, I would love to have an exhaust like that here in Germany. Unfortunately, driving around with no muffler is illegal and will never get you approved documents for the car.

So, every country has it's advantages, we have the Autobahn, you guys in the US have muffler delete systems that are legal!

I can still get you set up with one of our Sport Cat Downpipes though! The downpipe is where a large part of a good exhaust note is restricted on turbo cars. Check your PMs! We can chat some more.

Are you sure of that Eau Rouge ? I've been told by several sources that it's not illegal in France and that volume is not part of the annual technical control. Maybe the Germans are more strict but I would have thought that, in the EU, bullshit rules tend to become the norm between countries LOL

Decibel Levels MPE vs Dinan vs GT Haus?

Does anyone know actual decibel differences between these systems...I like them all but have great neighbors and hope to keep them that way!!!
I'm thinking of running the Dinan exhaust with the Fabspeed 200 cat....first installing the Dinan and then, if it is not too loud, adding the Fabspeed, but having the actual decibel ratings would be a huge help in the decision making process....so if anyone has the actual numbers let me know!!!!
Thanks....

Can't answer about decibel, but for my experience with the Remus catback before and the HJS dp after (however completely satisfied), I would suggest to everyone has the idea to change the full exhaust of their M2, to proceed at first with e the downpipe and (maybe) after with the catback. I think in the most of the cases you could be ok just with the first step only.

Are you going to do the resonator delete as well? I have the Dinan with the res delete now and it sounds awesome, but I'm definitely considering doing the Fabspeed sport cats with it.

I do not have dB readings as well but I can speak from experience.

Upon cold start-up, it definitely will be a loud start. But this only lasts for about 15-20 seconds and then idle will sound very similar to stock. I have some pretty cool neighbors as well and not one of them has a complaint about it. I also have our Muffler Bypass Exhaust which I think is even a little louder than the Dinan setup.

Check your PMs and we can chat more!

I absolutely agree! I think the best place to start is our Sport Cat Downpipe and see if that is sufficient enough for you. The Sport Cat alone provides a nice bump in power and sound.

Dinan exhaust, resonator delete, Fabspeed 200 cat here. With exception of a muffler delete, my setup is one of the loudest you can get. That said, only during cold start is it exceptionally loud. I put it in comfort mode to close the valves and use a high gear to keep RPMs low when rolling through residential neighborhoods. The system can be subdued when needed. It may raise eyebrows here and there but panties don't tend to bunch.

I was thinking of leaving the resonator in there; so it would be the fabspeed 200 cell cat and the Dinan exhaust but stock resonator....keeping it a little quieter and avoid any drone issues.

Would love to hear this if you happen to have a little clip. Definitely considering the addition of the Fabspeed cat.

Just a heads up - bypassing the resonator really doesn't make that much of a difference.

An Inconel system will be made for my car including the downpipe. Its going to be the lightest system available and will have its valves made out of Inconel as well. Its going to be interesting because inconel 'rings' a higher motorsport pitch. Lets see how it goes..

The Muffler Bypass Exhaust provides an intoxicating sound and 3 different style tips, the most popular being our Brushed Single-Wall Stainless!

A friend of mine just got his Fabspeed exhaust fitted with the sport cats and wow what a sound .

That friend would be me photos and videos to come - the sport cat and bypass combo are loud! It took me a week and a 200 mile highway journey to decide that I love it.....the pops and bangs on lift off and downshift are borderline silly (in a good way) but it reminds me of the Ftype R which is probably the only car I've driven with louder pops and bangs.

I'll write a full review with photos etc
