Car is on order with Sun Protection Package (Privacy Glass) so my rear windows will all be factory tinted at 35%.

I'd like to stay somewhat legal upfront but am unsure whether a lower tint percentage will make the car look bad.

Has anyone here matched factory rear tint or combined it with an inferior percentage?

It's common for cars to have a different tint % all around the car. I don't think it looks too bad but I prefer the flush look having all % the same especially if its a 4 door. However I do think you can't have the front darker than the back as it would look bad. In your case I haven't seen a rear 35% mixed with a lighter tint in the front. It would be easier if it was a 5-15% in the rear then you would have more options. Perhaps try googling some pics. Good luck!

My only worry is the Dot Matrix. I've tinted over it and the results are far from satisfactory.

For anyone that has done the front side window tints, have you tinted up to the dot matrix leaving that segment of the window alone or have you covered it altogether?
