it's the vehicle inquiry status report that you get when you place the order for any BMW. It summarizes your build, and status of the production (111...112... etc).
Err, that's the VIR, not what the person you quoted was asking.

Long Beach BMW had (still might have it) a MG DCT and offered a deal under MSRP (end of month deal) but I wanted a 6MT. I was assigned an allocation, but I'm all set now. Long Beach BMW sells M2's at MSRP, no haggling, no mark up, a good dealer and worth contacting if you're in LA and looking to place an order for a MY 17. You can reach Long Beach BMW A.B. at 714-715-6955 if you're interested in placing an M2 order with available allocation.
The CA reached out again last night from Long Beach BMW. He forgot that I already got an M2. They have 4 open allocations for May production. Again, I'm just informing anyone that might be interested. Contact A.B. at 714-715-6955 for any questions/inquiries.

Maybe I got a different experience than you guys.

Got my M4 from LB BMW from a very cool guy. Then that guy moved up in management and his replacement guy tried to get me an allocation of the M240 or M2 at the time. After I had decided to go with the M240 because I didn't want to wait for an allocation for the M2 and I got a crazy good deal at another dealership, the guy at LB BMW calls me to get a M2. Tells me that he will sell it to me at MSRP. The catch is I can't buy it. I would have to lease it as they "did not sell" the M2 at that time. I said that was stupid so I decided I wouldn't work with them again. I have also heard about their other "optional" stuff that they required and it just blew my mind how they have fallen in my books for a dealer I would want to deal with. Good luck to those who like them but I found better dealers to deal with that I can trust more. Maybe it was just one bad salesperson at the dealership but it left a sour taste in my experience.
