Vorsteiner | BMW M2 Aero Development & Official Teaser

Vorsteiner | BMW M2 Aero Development & Official Teaser

At the end of the 1 series life cycle, BMW teased us with their super limited 1M. Some reviewed the 1M to have the classic chassis of the original compact BMW sports coupe with the modern linear power and torque of a factory modified N54. That combination made it a formidable weapon for competitive track and sideways warrior drifts. The mean rear quarter flares and stance showed the car was not your standard 1 series. The MSRP was spot on and it only came in the proper transmission. This sounds like euphoria to the BMW community minus BMW forgot 1 important thing: to actually produce it in numbers for loyal fans to obtain. Availability plus insane mark ups left the majority with a depression so when news of the M2 broke, we braced ourselves to prepare and made sure we were eligible to receive BMW's golden ticket.

Our newest ///M sibling was optioned to represent the true driver experience. Mineral Grey with the traditional 6MT. No frills, no extras, no distractions. With our M2 en route, we wasted no time engineering components to add the Vorsteiner touch to the M2. With an aggressive stock canvas, we had to be sure to not over power the dramatic lines and only create additions to compliment and accentuate.

We use state of the art 3D scanning and CNC mold forms to ensure precision fitment and consistency.

If you have any questions or inquires regarding the M2 aero program, please feel free to contact us @ support@vorsteiner.com

I like the front lip and the rear diffuser. Any chance for CFRP?

Hopefully it won't all be CF. Some of us wish for the hard "non CF" type. Hey the plugs are done. Make those available with satin paint, and great price point and they will sell. CF looks great, but if other bits on car are not CF, then it looks a bit "added on". Just a thot. Thanks...

I like the front lip spoiler a lot. Don't like the rear diffuser, because the fins are too large. Plus the way the rear diffuser wraps around the sides of the bumper it would look odd running it without the side skirts. So getting the side skirts would be a must. The hood is just meh.

Release date and pricing for the front lip?

The rear diffuser fins have been finessed and adjusted.

The front spoiler will be starting production next week as we are finishing the final section of the molds.

Are you gonna make it in CFRP? as an option. I don't want CF.

I like the front and side skirts. That rear diffuser is way too big for me. The slots don't do it for me. I would like the kit in a carbon black not carbon fiber.

I guess they are not going to make the parts in CFRP as I have asked numerous time and get no answer.

^ Agreed. Who's going to shell out $1500 for a CF spoiler that's just going to get destroyed every day going over speed bumps

We actually have a waiting list accumulating for the our aero products but we understand your concerns. We are already in developments with alternative composite materials. We value all opinions and feedback from our customers and we did our best to compromise aero function and styling with ground clearance in mind for the daily drivers.

Our parts are usually done in full carbon fiber so it won't be a Fiberglass base with a Carbon Fiber overlay. But we are experimenting with alternative composites for those who rather have a painted option and not waste it painting over our Carbon Fiber weaves
