I have an rs3 and an m2.
RS3 is nice fast family car. But no fun in the corners. My wife drives It most of the time. |

Is it the new one, or one from a previous generation?

I have a couple cars I'm interested in when I do decide to buy (in about a year or so): including the 718 S/GTS, TTRS, RS3 (if I go 4 door), and M2. (Maybe even a Corvette Grand Sport...) But the TTRS has me the most curious... This car is going to be a rocket and sound amazing for sure. Coupled with the fact it has some cool tech bits (instrument cluster) as well and Quattro, it's nothing like I have owned before. But like a bunch of TTRS/TTS fans, I am not too keen on the new wheels. But that's ok, I can get over that minor (to me) aesthetic issue. Of the 4 cars mentioned, the TT body style is possibly my least favorite (Cayman being my favorite), but the front fascia of the TTRS is awesome IMO. I absolutely love the front of the new TTRS... I can't wait to see more of this car as production gets closer. I am very interested in this car and hope pricing is not too competitive with the 718 S, my other top choice. Because if the TTRS is somewhat less in price vs the 718 S, and although the Cayman will be the superior "driver's car," I don't think I can say 'no' to the car that will sound much nicer AND is a bit faster. |

I love the GT4 and it has so much character. There are definitely faster cars out there, but the quality of a Porsche GT car and the fun factor is great. The TTRS is the perfect daily driver for me. I want AWD, less weight (compared to the RS3), big torque at low rpm, can put the power down, and a nice interior. In really bad weather and for carting people around we have other vehicles for that. If we didn't, I would go for an RS3.

I went to view a RS3 today just to make sure I had made the right decision in choosing the M2. My god it looked so plain, I'm sure it goes well and sounds good but it just looked like a A3 S-line

i'm going to wait on the RS3 sedan to make up my mind. if it's just going to look like a S3 with a different grill, then M2 it is. but if they change the bodywork a little and bulge the fenders like they did with the RS4 sedan, i might jump on it.

The sedan is going to have the new 400 hp engine plus a front fascia change and maybe some other body work (hopefully). So is it fair to even compare the two? (I could be misinformed, so just wondering..Or maybe, the RS3 sedan coming here is going to look plain anyway!) Last edited by csbear; 07-04-2016 at 03:46 PM.. |

At least that's my take. Sound wise, to be frank, it makes the M2 sound like a Vespa. I've driven both. I love the M2, don't get me wrong. But good lord the RS3 sounds stupidly good with the RS Performance Exhaust. Like it's already running a Supersprint or Armytrix. No need for any upgrade. I'll get some better pics once my new wheels/springs/spacers go on next week. |

I'm a big fan of Audi and I'm coming from an S4 myself but personally the Rs3 in terms of looks has nothing on the M2. Every line is deliberate, the bulges in all the right places, the fenders, the massive M brakes and on and on. the audi looks plain and what is i'm assuming deliberate understatement by audi designers. the unisex grocery getter with a lot of style and all weather capable engineered performance... the M2 is raw power and a look of I will tolerate the street but the track is where I am at home.. just my take and why I personally didn't wait for the Rs3 and being an Audi fan. there is too much car in an M2 and Audi does not have that same personality and feel.
