You can see the log of my 5.12s run earlier in the thread, the gear change there is obvious. My feeling right now is that if the following is possible, 4.3 might be achievable:

I may not have a manual, but stock DCT my best is 4.1 , i stuck it into launch and lowered the revs a little to limit the wheel spin. i think on a really good day i could hit 4 maybe 3.9 but that's a long shot.

My son got me Dragy for my b'day (great device!) and we went out to try it again yesterday, after trying it several times a few days ago.
I managed a 4.92 0-60 in my '18 DCT M2. There was wheel spin, and the car did fishtail right at the start, so I'm sure we can do better, but that's a long way off from the 4.1 seconds that magazine's report! Hey... launch control was a BLAST, and I'm not racing anyone for pink slips at the stoplight, but I still wonder how it can be so far off from what BMW and reviewers have reported! We tried to do a 2nd launch control, but the M2 wouldn't let us... I had forgotten that you need to drive something like 3, 4 miles after using Launch Control, before you can use it again. By the time we could have used LC again, we weren't in an area where it was safe. Any of you have dragy and care to share your 0-60 times? I'll have to try it using different RPS's at launch, and see if perhaps a slower RPM will eliminate wheel spin/sliding, and produce better times... |

This is the 0-100kph(0-62mph) time what I got a few weeks back.
0-60mph would be 3.9ish. Ambient Temp was about 100F. It's really all about traction.

3.9 to 100kmh in my DCT with Stage 2 Flash tune. Used Launch Control with revs knocked down 2 clicks. I reckon with a bit more fiddling with the launch RPM I could knock .1 off that easily.

I've only done launch control a few times but I remember getting 4.3-4.4 on a standard road with contis (3k rpm). I reckon with better tyres and some heat in the tyres it could easily do low 4s

That is great! I haven't come close to that time!
Managed to get 4.59 today, dropping the RPM's down to 3000 before launch. A few days ago, I was at 4.96 (I think), after using launch control and not dropping the RPM's down at all. Car fishtailed pretty badly at the start, so I'm sure that cost me some time (although it was more fun!). Have to try lowering the RPM's down even more, and see if I can do better. I'm on Contis..... Dragy is a blast! Surprised it doesn't get more attention, esp. considering it's reasonable price tag! Very few M2's listed... What's really nice about Dragy is, you can click on any car listed, and you'll see a list of mods the owner has done, along with what tires their car is on. So, if you're considering a mod, you can see the top times, and see if anyone has the mod you're considering and how their car performs with that mod. |

This discussion is all very nice, and please don't misunderstand my comment when I say this because I'd hate for the discussions to stop...
Where are the results from manual owners? All of these DCT results are fun to see, but HTF do we achieve 4.4s in stock with a manual? Has anyone achieved that yet?

At the very least I know 1-2 is automatic, but I think it does them all automatic until you lift throttle when you started with LC.

I mean, the car hauls ass period.
If Don Garlits was driving it yeah, probably get the 4.2 or something - otherwise, I don't worry about it and mine's a 6speed. |

What you, and everyone, should be looking at is the time with the "1 foot rollout." That's what magazines and manufacturers use for their times. You're looking at over 0.30 seconds faster with the 1 foot rollout (5.21 vs 4.90). With perfect conditions and a prepped surface, you could get that down even more. The rollout is particularly helpful for manual cars.

Definitely a good point about the one foot roll out. It's nice that dragy provides that as well. Did another run today and got it a little bit lower. Dumped the clutch a little higher at 3k rpm. For the previous run I dumped it at 2.5k.
