Tire size with square setup
Hello all,
Been using 18x9.5 et 35 square, front 10mm spacers this last track season no problem, car also been lowered with Eibach springs. Tire size is 265/35/18, which does look a bit smaller in diameter compared with stock. Wondering if 265/40/18 works, since stock diameter is 2xx/35/19, will 40 make more sense? |

I bought a pair of Goodyear Supercar 3 in 265/40r18 to run on the front with 275/40r18 on the rear because the 255/40r18 I’d normally run up front were backordered without an ETA.
They were fine under most conditions, but I have a pretty big compression on my primary home track that resulted in significant rubbing through the fender liner and into some aluminum structure behind the liner at about 10 or 11 o’clock on the driver side. I’m running less offset than you with an ET28 wheel and an 8mm spacer, so about et20, with 3.2* of camber on Ohlins R&T. The car is lowered about about 15mm from stock I think. I’m going to use up the tires, but probably won’t buy another set. |
