Doh! I missed the February gathering because I was travelling. My M2C is getting PPF / ceramic coated this weekend. I'll show up with or without my car.

Good point on the fires. I think on a typical day I would rather stop somewhere off 280 vs. 101, but 101 is incrementally further from the Santa Cruz fires at least. In terms of options, what do folks think about: 1. Doing a cars and coffee in a parking lot (maybe somewhere in the stretch of Palo Alto-Burlingame off 101)? 2. If people want to do a drive, unfortunately a lot of the best roads are by the fires, but we could do a drive up by Mount Tam? A bit further for some but we could get a good drive in. We could also do a cars and coffee portion in the Marina (by the GGB, at Philz truck), and drive up. Edit: I'm using this to assess fires: https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/ |

SV Auto Pros in San Jose. John does excellent work. I've had my PPF compared side by side with a ton of other cars, and a separate PPF installer - all complimented the attention to detail.

Soon ...
I'm going to a very small shop that's currently taking customers by reference only. They only work on one car at a time. Once the car is complete I'll ask the owner if he wants new leads. |

I'd be down for a cars and coffee type meet on Saturday. Either this weekend or next if people wanted to get their cars ready. My car unfortunately is parked outside so its covered in dirt and ash so i'll probably need to find time to wash her if she wants to come looking like a proper lady.

I'm still waiting for a shop to give me a quote, it's been two days. Let me know how your ppf comes out, and if the owner wants a new lead, I might just go with him, thanks.

Should we try to plan for 9/6? That seems to work well for folks.
Hopefully fires are contained by then, for everyone's sake. And we can figure out details closer to the day - and can hopefully do both a coffee + drive! |

@all: a couple of us do mini M2 meet ups in SF in the Marina at the green some weekends. Down to meet there or anywhere south as far as SJ. Drive to Alice's probably not a good idea with the fires at the moment |

Nice to see you on here. Felt like I've seen you a few times unless it's another HS M2C

If possible i'd like to submit 9/5 as a possible date as Sunday's are the only full free day i get to spend with the girlfriend.
Either way i hope to see everyone soon and i hope we can make this happen. I think we're lucky to live in a place where theres enough of us to make a M2/C only meet. |

Thanks! Any idea what I can expect to pay for a full ceramic coat on my M2C? I've never done any sort of ceramic coating before, looks like there a bunch of different levels that most have to do with how much product is applied. I'm more interested in the visual and cleaning benefits. If I wanted paint protection, I'd get PPF.

I would also DM uniquecustomautodetailing or wrapculture_america. You can see my M2C (HS) on the wrapculture_america page w/ full frontal PPF and then ceramic on the whole car for a look at the work they do.
