I was driving today and heard a pop, then loss of power… pulled over as I now can hear a loud turbo spool. CP failure.. BMW should recall this part. It’s crazy that it’s a common thing. I will be looking on how to replace my self as I called bmw and with labor it’s about $800+. Anyone have video on how to replace dm please.

If you get a replacement metal pipe and have to go through CA smog check, please let us know whether the metal pipe passes the visual inspection portion of the smog check. |

I have 2018 M2 and not tuned, all stock. Ordered a VRSF CP as I’m not pay bmw for crazy labor cost and for an unreliable CP. 25k miles on car. I need to figure how to remove logo off the 4 ply silicone connector without damaging the silicone. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I have had my car since Nov 2018, how long before they ask for smog?
