Most value/ease of build turbo kit?
Hi guys,
I've been running FBO on my '18 N55 M2 for 3-4 years now. I also run bunch of suspension mods and AD08R tyres. Love the car but looking for more power now - mainly because I track it about 6 times a year and the track I run at has two long ass straights and my car dies out past 5.5k-6k rpm. I know about most of the kits out there, but does anyone know of the best value kit in terms of -ease of install -power gain -hopefully not too laggy? I was considering the PS2 but I can't seem to figure out how the core change works and how I can get one in Australia. Any posts appreciated. Thanks all. |

What kind of fueling do you run?
There's a time attack PS2 M2 tuned by Bend Calibration out in Australia that has broken multiple class records. @_nguyenjohn on Instagram. If you want something that's bolt-on like the PS2, TTE is superior and spools faster. The TTE550 might be a good option for you and gives some headroom compared to the TTE460. https://tteglobal.com/bmw/1-series/e...e-turbocharger

Thanks for the reply.
I don't run any fuelling mods at the moment. I'm happy to upgrade both HPFP and LPFP if needed. I am looking for something relatively bolt on, which is why I looked into the PS2, but not sure I want to send in my turbo to have it changed. Looks like this TTE500 is also a core change turbo? Any ideas of vendors that sell these turbos or is it best to deal with TTE and/or Pure themselves directly? |

Also, I forgot to mention but I'm looking to add meth/water injection likely via a simple charge pipe or manifold (not looking at port injection, would like to keep direct injection), as I am not looking at ethanol and want to stay on pump fuel.
Any recommended kits that ship worldwide so I can get access in Aus? |

PS2 for me.
We will send you the upgraded turbo if you pay for the core. Then you can send back your stock and get the core fully refunded, or you can keep it, and we will keep the money from the core. If you do not pay for the core, you must send your stock turbo first.

If you want the most OEM + route, I’d agree with the PS2. However, if you want to go the stage 3 route for maximum power, I highly recommend getting a SpeedTech turbo kit. I currently am running the BorgWarner 8374 EFR SpeedTech kit and the quality is worth every penny. If you’re upgrading the turbo, I personally rather spend a little extra on a full stage 3 kit. I know a lot of people who got bored of the PS2, eventually buying going with either the SpeedTech or Big Boost kits.
