Was done by dealer. Mine is full bumper hood as well, worth the money IMO. Twice had something scraped my car (probably in the parking lot by another car) leaving some sort of paint on the bumper, and both times managed to get everything off with some intense rubbing. The material self-healed itself in a couple days.

Granted, I don't usually take it out if there's 10cm of fresh snow, but I was caught in one of the snow storms once and it was fine. |

I got some 18s Michellin Xi3. Drive sensibly and it will be fine. Much better than my Elise in the snow. It's no AWD, but good enough in most situations.

I've been very happy with the Xi3s on my 228i for the couple winters I've had the car.
I'm not sure what I'll do for my M2 next winter though, if I try to go with Xi3s again or go for Pilot Alpin or similar. I am pretty certain my current Xi3s won't fit though, they're on 17" rims which I don't think would clear the brakes. |
