Took the M2 out to play for a bit this weekend, so thought I'd add a data point
MidOhio 8/18, Club course (with chicane): got into the 1:42s BMW HPDE Instructor session with traffic, Sunny & Dry, 84 degrees F 2017 M2 DCT Stock (non coilover) suspension Stock Michelin Pilot Sports Mods: PFC08 Brake pads -2.75 Front camber plates Just playing on Friday - not a race car, but still a hoot, and hanging pretty well with the prepared crowd. One week after Nascar ran there, folks weren't bragging about a particularly fast track, so this seems pretty solid for a daily on street tires |

NJMP Lightning
Visited New Jersey Motorsport Park for a two day event at Lightning with BMW CCA Del Val. Fun track with really good flow.
Best lap time from the event: 1:16. 2017 BMW M2 Michelin SC2 Bilstein B16 PSS10 (run at 3 clicks front/5 clicks rear, still figuring them out) PFC08 |

I took my wife's 135i there last October on some 3 years old Bridgestone RFTs... Barely made it home after loosing chunks of thread going sideways in 4/5. It was fun though, managed 1:54,79 on those tires |

My best recorded time at Mosport was 1:42 this morning, the last 2 session my phone didn't want to connect for the M Laptimer app, might have improved a bit on that. This was my first time out in my M2 at Mosport, loving it so much compared to my 228i, I was just under 2 minutes in that (but also less experienced and running in novice with slower traffic).
Stock DCT on MPSS except for RS29, I'm a little worried to see how the shoulders are doing when I swap back to stock pads. |

LimeRock Park
Best lap time from the event: 1:02.4 2017 BMW M2 Michelin SC2 Bilstein B16 PSS10 (run at 3 clicks front/5 clicks rear, still figuring them out) Ground Control Camber Plates at 2.7 degrees PFC08 Definitely a second or two left in the car. Was a really hot and busy day – two students plus giving rides to family made it non-stop and hectic. Did a number of 1:02s in the first morning session with a passenger and in traffic but didn’t feel like I was driving as well as I could have and see a number of areas to grab tenths. A best virtual time in the low 1:01s confirmed that. Hoping to get into one minute flat times next time at LRP though that might not be until next year. Also, much better tire wear now that I have GC plates and running 2.7 degrees. The Vid is from the late morning session and en-edited. Last edited by dvas; 09-26-2017 at 10:26 AM.. |

Did a 2:55:79 at Spa-Francorschamps but had already run out of battery on my camera.
Have a 2:59 ish video with traffic though:

I'm pretty sure in my F30 335i I was faster, but it didn't feel as nimble or confidence inspiring. The hairpin in the m2 felt so much better. The dealer days are more expensive than the trillium days and you don't get an instructor, but the plus is it is quite empty. What was your top speed on Andretti Straight after you crest the hill, just before entering on turn 8?

I'm back in October with Trillium, probably do all 4 next year and probably most of the Pfaff days too. This year I did the Pfaff DDT day in early May, that was pouring rain so it ended up being pretty quiet. I couldn't do the Pfaff GP day this year, either I was still in Germany on ED or I had gotten back and was without the car, I did my first day with Pfaff on the GP track last year (I think it was cheaper then too). |
