Instrument cluster does not change to orange at night

I might be wrong on this, but all current BMW changes its instrument cluster color from white to orange at night.

Mine stays white regardless of the light intensity outside. Does not light up the little lights around cup holder and door side storage pockets either.

Mine is not coded at all. There should be no reason unless F87 does not support such function...
I did DIY to change my steering wheel from stock to alcantara V2 with dry carbon trim and had ti disconnect the battery to avoid airbag from activated. And ever since i had all installed and put the battery back connected and that was the point when i lost the function of such change...(at least my memory says this)

Anyway to put it back to the original setting??

Trying to recall my memory with my previous F80... i dont think it had orange at night either... thought it was white all the time. I could be wrong...

My wife's X4 changes the color but it could be my memory problem mixed with current M2 and X4...

Yes. The LCI instrument cluster is white 24/7. My first BMW that didn’t turn orange at night.

Also, as for the interior lighting, you can adjust the interior lighting brightness in iDrive. have you tried doing that yet?

I can't tell the difference either haha. I also never knew there were cup holder lights either. I really don't think mine has them, but I'll double check later.

The only lights I know that are adjustable from orange and white are these two little LEDs by the map lights. You can change them in vehicle settings>lighting>interior lighting>ambient lighting (i think that's right) and change it from "classic" to "sport". Classic is orange and sport is white. You can also adjust the brightness in the same menu. Though those lights make absolutely no difference in the car (other than if you're staring right at them) Doesn't matter if they're orange or white or lowest brightness or highest, I can't tell the different unless I'm staring at the little LEDs.

The other lights that do change are the temperature numbers and around that area. They change to orange and night and white during the day. I kinda wish I could choose a permanent color, but whatever. I have the carly coding app and there isn't anything like that available in that.
