Leaving Bimmer Heaven yesterday, its due to be in NY port by October 19th. Just got confirmation my LBB, DCT, Exec is on this ship. Lets hope for smooth sailing with that hurricane pounding the Atlantic right now.

Idk why I didn't make it on. My car finished production on the 23rd and got to the port on the 27th. Did you check mybmw or the ships track and trace function

As I mentioned in that other timeline thread, it is likely due to how the cargo is queued. My car finished production a day after yours and we were likely further down the list of cars waiting to get shipped. Unfortunately we didn't get lucky with this particular ship. It is likely we will be on the ship next Tuesday unless there is another ship not showing on the schedule which goes out before then.

This actually may be a benefit given that the Hurricane will be making its way across the Atlantic at the same time the Tortugas is headed over which may delay things depending on the path it takes.

My dealer let me know and sent me a grab of his order screens that showed the ship name, its not updated in the 2wglobal or bwmusa sites yet from what i can see.

I'm on TORTUGAS as well. Confirmed by my CA this morning. Early morning text at 7 AM. No update on WW or BMWUSA or the toll free. It seems that this will be updated 2 days in to transit on the vessel.

FWIW, I finished production on the 27th of Sept. and got on it. October 19, here we come!

Just got off the phone with my CA, I'm also on the Tortugas. So BMW Genius, the automated system, My BMW, etc is definitely delayed.

Hopefully our M2s don't end up on the bottom of the ocean courtesy of Matthew... lol

Hmm. I called Genius yesterday and the guy said there was no update on a shipping assignment. Our cars finished at about the same time, though, and honestly when I call Genius I've gotten one of two people. One of them gives me vague answers that seem like old information, and another gives me more up to date info that seems more accurate.

Yesterday I got the "vague" guy so hopefully I'm actually on the ship. Since Matthew is supposed to be up as far as the north east on Sunday it seems unlikely it would affect a ship that only just left Europe.

Based on the edited path of Matthew (Also there is another storm brewing in the Atlantic) we should be ok. We're taking a high path, and its taking a low path i'm sure. At worst we get delayed by a week. But its not like Atlantic hurricanes are something new, and BMW has been shipping cars here for years.

I also realized that it seems like the cars on there are going to the east coast whereas I'm in Texas. There's a good chance my car is just waiting for a ship to Galvaston. I wonder if that shipping route is delayed a few days due to rescheduling routes through the worst of the hurricane.

I'm on the Tortugas as well. I had a July built but decided to do ED at the last minute - dropped her off in Munich on Sept 24th and very happy she's en-route home

Looks like she just arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden this morning. I've been tracking her using the following link:

No I had to go through competition bmw in LI 1.5 hr drive to help break her in

Definitely one of the few, one of the benefits of having MG. I was considering that or LBB, but ultimately went with LBB for a change since most my cars have been grey, white or black.

I was actually thinking about LBB as well. I saw it in person at the dealer fully decked out with M Exhaust, CF Tips, CF Body Parts, Black Grille and CF Diffuser, but felt that it was too tacky for some odd reason. It's like the orange color that Nissan used for their first year cars and they stopped offering those colors.

Luckily on the day they took my deposit and sales order, the Manager allowed me to take a BSM (2016) with DCT out for a test drive.

LMAO at the sales guy who kept on saying PUNCH IT! PUNCH IT!

ALL I CAN SAY: IT PUT A VERY BIG GRIN/SMILE ON MY FACE.

It was a beautiful day. That was back in August. Now only a few more weeks before I get mine.

Ultimately ended up with MG, DCT, EXEC, Pedals, Carplay, Black Front and Side Grills.

Mine is LBB, 6MT, Exec Pkg, Carplay, SS Pedals, Black Kidney Grills, Illuminated Door Sills

I'm getting the side grills from IND as I'm having the chrome portion painted LBB as some other member posted it, and I love the contrast.
