It seems that the MY17 cars will get the standard M3/4 wheels, with 10mm wider tires. It also looks like they will get Conti ContactSport rather than the Michelin PSS's.

IMO, I wouldn't call it an upgrade and glad I'm getting a MY16; the PSS's are far superior to the Contis and the 10mm width difference is negligible in all but the highest performance scenarios. And even in those cases, the PSS will compensate by being a better tire.
The 5P's did great in all the tests I've seen. On par with PSS.

That's great for the testers

I've personally owned both and wholeheartedly disagree.

When I put PSS's in my Z4MC after having Contis for two years, the difference was HUGE. It wasn't even a comparison and that's before we get into wet driving performance.

I standardized on Michelins for all cars for all tire types. No interest in changing brands.

If my car comes w/Conti tires, I'll be attending every autocross I can find until I burn them up.

BMW USA updated.

The M2 graphic for selecting the model is now AW instead of LLB.

The Build Your Own tool shows the MY 2017 car with the Executive Package additions of Wireless Charging and WiFi Hotspot and associated price increase. The Options shows the M Driver's Package.

Guessing they will further update the Options page to add the Apple CarPlay option when August rolls around.

No, that's the car in primer, before it is painted.

On a more serious note, why are the wheels/tires selectable on the options page? Was it always like that or is there something you can change there?

You can option wheels. You can option tires via your dealer too if you want. Not that you should.

Updates

OK, it's been several months and most of the previous post above are moot at this point. My question is, what is the latest information with regard to 18' M2 LCI? Headlights ??? Tail lights ???? HP boost with the N55? Anything new to report?
