2 allocation slots for the new m2 coupe.

With projected delivery in about 3-4 months.

Price will be $10,000.00 over the MSRP.

Need a $5000.00 deposit to get the order placed.
I can see Steve Thomas doing this. They're straight crooks.

Actually, last I checked Steve Thomas was at MSRP -- and had 20+ people on their list.

I think that dealers are just misinformed. Since it is the 1m replacement, they all think it's 1m rare.

The one that, IIRC, only wanted 20K over sticker for an 1M a few years back?

I was going to say I live in Pasadena and there is no dealership here and then you put the address down as Glendale.

That dealership sucks many balls.

Until BMW drops the Mic with a production " estimate " on April 16 ?

They could sell 3 thousand M2 in the US MARKET in 2016 if they were prepared to pump these puppies out. But they aren't....

I wanted to place an order in the Chicago area. One dealer asked for MSRP for spot #4 so will have to wait maybe 6 months to get the car. Different dealer wanted $10k mark-up for spot #2. They told me someone paid $15k to be #1 on the list. I just laughed and wished him all good.

Rare doesnt mean desirable and the M2 won't be rare either....Let the hype subside and then buy.

You don't have to be a tightwad--just smart. The rich don't get richer by paying ridiculous prices for something that can be had cheaper somewhere else.

It's funny how you guys wants to buy a car and hassle the price. This car it's in hot demand, if you don't want to pay a premium you gotta have to purchase something else or wait a year and see how's the inventory at that moment. Simple as that. Someone would pay the premium. Dealers are not gonna sell this car at MSRP, theres no rush to do it.

I m not into m2 at all. I'd rather get a higher loan and got M4 but that's me.
About dealers greed, I don't blame them for wanting to make extra cash. MSRP is only a suggested price so if people willing to pay more why not. If we don't buy them, the price will go down, below MSRP.

Is it just the maintenance program they are chopping or they are reducing the 4y/50k warranty/mileage to 3y/36k as well?

Repair warranty remains at 4yr/50k. Only maintenance is affected right now till further notice. Guests can elect to upgrade their maintenance plans to match the 4yr/50 and to also include brakes/wipers/belts/clutches as well. BMW is reverting back to the early E46 days with this type of program.

It is not a GTS/CSL...

Talk to the GM, the result is you may have to wait a bit, and they also lose you as a buyer and a local service customer. Costco member? Try Costco buying program lol it is as easy as eating pie. The dealer has to abide by their agreement with the almighty Costco. Imagine that!

Haggling a price is a part of the game. Purchasing a car is a battle between the dealer and customer to see who is going to bend over and take it. You're getting screwed until you are well under invoice.
