This info was now also added to the M2 manuals sticky.

Feel free to give a heads-up if you can locate a better version.

If they had not been including that hardware/software combo for the drive logic, then I don't think they should charge as much.
I was looking at from the prospective of keeping it off the toes of the M4. I think the tranny probably has Drivelogic just not the drivers ability to adjust the modes.

Sort of like paying 350USD for enhanced Bluetooth when you can code it for free( F8X). Won't have the extra mic, but it works the same.

I bet you can code to have the modes, just would need to button/center console.

Nice car but if you already own a 1, 3 or 4 with a N54 or N55, what are you really getting?

I don't think I'd trade my paid for 335 for one.
I can get $15K for my car on a good day.
So I need to come up with 40 large to get a car that doesn't do a whole lot, a whole lot better.

I was looking at the M3 and 335's at the auto show yesterday, and I think for 40-60 large to buy in again, I'll keep what I have.

But I do need to qualify that statement.
I have M-Performance brakes, exhaust, real LSD, 19" wheels and Cobb plus some other stuff.

Now if my car was wrecked/totaled like my last car was, then I'd bite.

very difficult hard to justify going from owning 235 to M or from 335 to M.. or from 550 to M etc..
Agreed re M235 to M2, especially if M2 has to do a fair bit of DD duties, a role M235 so aptly performs

Pricing is really great, barely more than a similarly equipped M235 with a locking rear diff. Love that they are making most standard equipment, will preserve resale values nicely.

But it will lease terribly so I won't be able to get into one until late 2017 as I would purchase it or maybe it'll lease better. By that time, I'll probably want a 911 instead anyway. :O
why would you only consider a lease with interest rates at 1.9 percent ??

Alright my caped crusaders, I'm #1 on my dealers list (S.E. Pennsylvania, "West German BMW") and have a $1000 deposit down on this car. Will these guys install or have a sunroof professionally installed post purchase, keeping my factory warranty intact??

Question of course is to the best of your knowledge. Thanks in advance.

The 1M came standard with the same 19s that were on the E9x.

18's on mules are just that.

Plenty of the 18s on those were due to winter weather in Germany any way.

Have you gotten in line for an allocation yet ??

Possibly someone who wants x-drive. Up here in the north west it rains A LOT. That said, I wouldn't consider an m235i

with the power seats.... if you have a sunroof... you had better be pretty short to want both..
I drive an M235i with power seats and sunroof. I'm 6' 2" 225 lbs, and I have plenty of room.

This is great news. Nav standard. Only reason to get exec pkg is for PDC and rear camera. When new federal rules take effect it will be interesting to see what happens with the options.

Wow. Even with my previous complaints of BMW making a back-up camera, which will need to be standard by 2018, part of a package, I am very impressed with this. Basically fully loaded for the base price. And the Exec pack very reasonably priced at that. Well done. I think I'm in.

And snows a lot! That's why my M3 is wearing winter tires. And kicks ass.

I know what you are saying, but geez, it's like 97% of people in this region are unaware of the existence of winter specific rubber. And AWD doesn't help you corner or brake any better, which is where 98% of winter accidents happen. This coming from a guy who has 2 feet of snow in front of his house and hasn't put his truck into 4WD more than twice all winter....

That's why we have Blizzaks...so you don't have to drive a sloppy, heavy AWD Audi!
