M2 Allocation Waiting List

Curious where others are at in line with their local dealers for an M2 allocation.

I threw my name on the list... #9.

I'm #1 but not 100% sure on the car until we get more info.

#2, but leaning strongly toward an F80...we'll see what the M2 has to offer.

The F80 is definitely my back-up plan. The only thing that will hold me back is if BMW prices the M2 too close to the M3.

I'm #3 at mine, but not in a giant rush to buy. I just wanted to get my name in there just in case the car was super limited (which it won't be).

At 4 dealers, but I think the 3rd #1 dealer needs to be crossed off b/c they are adding a 7% market adjustment for the new M2 and are still at MSRP for the F8x cars since they are "so exclusive and special."

The f80 is my plan B too.

I am having some anxiety in making sure I have all my bases covered on the '16 M3 purchase if the M2 isn't the car i want. Do you think $1000 over ED Invoice is doable for a ED date in late May '16???

#2 at my local dealer - still on the fence about it, but each time I learn more, I start moving a bit more into the "I'm sure I'll want this in November" camp.

I'm surprised so many are so high on the list. That's great to hear!

I have a feeling as more details come out there will be more and more interest.

got #2 on my dealer's list, but will most likely wait 3-9 months to get a good deal after the hype settles down and do ED.

#1 on list here--if it trims out as I'd like with DCT. Am a little bummed that the interior is only black---really like my saddle brown/black interior now on the AW M235. BUT that's fairly minor on all this. Otherwise, will love this M235 on and on.

not on any list, if it ends up being an extremely limited car where i would need to be on a list to get it then id imagine the price would be hiked well over MSRP and out of my budget

It's not going to be a low # car!

Once there are allocations there will be deals to be had.

Can't find a deal find a new dealer. Works like a charm every time.

I like your competitive spirit. However, there is a limiting element. Which is the production period, 8 months. Initially, anyway, I expect the car will be hard to get. But, there is, as you point out, the exception dealer.
I've read that BMW considers the M2 as a "series" car. Meaning it will remain in production for years to come. Currently, I think, it is planned for production through 2018. Certainly deals will be had in that time frame.

Then it's not 8 months. It's more like 3 years from start to finish. There will be enough to go around.

The 8 months is for the current run before next summer's LCI of the 2 series. It should continue on with the LCI.

I just called Cain BMW in Canton, OH and they want a $1000 NON-refundable deposit for the M2. The only way they would refund my money is if there was damage during delivery OR ordered incorrectly.

I said that was ridiculous since nothing has been released yet and I couldn't make an educated decision. Would any of you place a NON-refundable deposit at this stage?
