same here, i figured that i have X3 for family use i don't really need a bigger car, M2 will be perfect solution. I don't need the back seat anyway as owning my 335i sedan for 3 years i probably had passengers in the back seat 3-5 times..

Exactly...we'll have to wait and see. Bigger turbo or twin turbo (?) I thought BMW changed to a single turbo to meet emission and gas consumption targets.

Is it safe to assume the M2 will come with LSD unlike the M235?

Not quite correct. The Z4 M Roadster/Coupe have 330 horsepower, just 3 horsepower less than the exact same engine in the E46 M3. As you said, the difference is in the length of the exhaust system, much shorter in the M Roadster/Coupe.

Doubt it. The M235 is the old "is" version that sits below the M car. Since you bought a 335is instead of an M3, you are proof that there is room for that tuned version below the ///M version

I'm excited to see how this turns out. I'm afraid how big the M4 is. M2 may be a better fit for me.

Exactly. BMW might be stealing from Peter (M3/M4 buyers) to pay Paul (now M2 buyers). Not sure it makes financial sense but I'm sure research may prove me wrong. Gotta tell you it's making me rethink the M3 also.
Better than the people going to audi for an RS3 or Mercedes for the CLA45 AMG if they are looking for a small offering.

Yes it might take away a little from M3/M4 sales but for sure they will add a tonn of new buyers and its probably their plan. I'm telling you this M2 is going to be THE performance car to own that comes out of BMW Munich. IMO I expect sales to be equal to M3/M4 numbers in its first model cycle.
