Xpel ultimate wrap
I was given a quote for around 4200 usd for whole body wrap. Just wondering with the price of m2 does it justified? Seeing most car they did in the shop are supercar like Ferrari and lambo. Someone told me it will cost cheaper to repaint the whole car after several years later. May be a whole body wrap not worth it. Not sure. In dilemma now.

What color is your M2 as my rear bumper got saved by xpel and idiot who unparked directly into it.
If your car is black or white dont bother, if it's gray or LBB it's a must. |

I ordered a MG and it's my first grey car ever. My other car's are always black or silver. I'm going to expel the front bumper and hood for damage from stone chips on highways and trackdays. This is indeed a very pricey thing to do… No way I would do the full car! I was maybe thinking of skipping the bonnet and only the front bumper… But will probably do both (when the car is delivered). Front bumper is a must in my case (if I look at my other cars after several years of usage). But is the bonnet really necessary at the price of $410 US?

- Where you live - Demand for paint protection film - Size of your vehicle For a partial front end: This includes 18-24” up the hood and fenders, front bumper, mirrors and sometimes headlights. This ranges from $895 - $1,195. For full front coverage: This includes the entire hood and front fenders, front bumper, mirrors and sometimes headlights. This ranges from $1,895 - $2,195. For full car coverage: This includes every painted surface on the car possible. This ranges from $4,500 - $8,000. When you do find an installer: - Be sure to ask for wrapped edges where possible (meaning that the film will wrap over the edge of the panel) - Visit their shop and look at some of their installations they've completed, as certain installers may do things differently - Exam the installation to see if the visible seams are close the edge of the body panel - You can ask them if they've wrapped your vehicle before, some installers may have wrapped a few, some may have wrapped a hundred...it's best to find an installer you feel comfortable leaving your pride and joy with. |

Even if the front is protected with Xpel, there will always be a chance there is a dent or an accident and some piece needs to be repainted at one time. So why do you say "good luck dealing with the paint job"? Is a paint job so difficult to do?

It depends on the color. Mineral Gray is notoriously hard to match for example.

Sorry for the dumb question here, but after it's been on in the hot sun and other weather extremes for a few years, does the Xpel just peel right off with no problems or damage to the paint?

To remove the film, it's recommended to have your installer remove it, but if you want to do it yourself, follow the basic guidelines: HERE |

Personally I can't justify the cost of doing the whole car but given the environment I drive in Xpel is essential for the front bumper and mirrors as a minimum. I am going to have the whole hood done also.
