Yep, lighter the better, right? Plus I hate shit rolling around and making noises. Don't even keep the manual in the car, it's on the idrive and mostly worthless anyways.

Ha ha ha! Exactly! I went so far as to buy a small, rectangular, squirt bottle (holds about 3 ounces) for my quick detail spray so it wont roll around in the glove box. I hate stuff rolling in there. My wife takes the opposite approach and packs about 15 cubic feet of crap in her glovebox to ensure it's so dense that nothing can roll.

Lol, some of you guys are packing your car like doomsday preppers.
All i have is a phone charger, sunglasses, registration and insurance. Not sure why you'd need anything else, that's what roadside assistance is for. Also, having a bmw umbrella is pretty dorky. Just buy a regular one. Last edited by AndrewC1989; 12-13-2017 at 08:05 PM.. |

I keep my front license plate in the trunk. That is all. And really, that's probably overkill.

Other than that the regular documentation, flashlight, seatbelt cutter and glass smasher, some paper towels, rubber gloves, OBD reader, pen, MF towels, ONR in a spray bodel, front plate, phone charge cable, and sun shade for windshield. Usually keep some socks and underwear because you never know.... |

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned fire extinguisher yet. Car fires are no joke, can go from almost nothing to no more car (or worse, no more house if it's in your garage) in minutes. A friend lost his S4 on the Dragon because he pulled off to let the brakes cool or take pictures or something, and the hot exhaust pipe set a pile of leaves on fire... if he had an extinguisher, he'd probably still have the car.

I'm an IT guy by trade and tech nerd by choice. I like HPDEs, parts of US Hwy 129, NC 28, and the Cherohala Skyway. I'm also a fan of aural pleasure. |
