Not to deviate from the main topic of the thread, my $0.02:
Unlike N/A engines, turbocharged ones are more sensitive to variations in intrinsic (i.e. temperature) and environmental variables. A safe practice is to declare lowest throughput bound achieved with the least favorable input set (fuel, air conditions, engine temp, etc). It is smart from both engineering and legal standpoints --if it holds for the worst case scenario, holds for all... plus BMW won't get hit with a class action for false advertisement. From a marketing standpoint, it maintains/respects model "hierarchy". And it might even help keeping insurance premiums lower. Conjectures of mine, though, I have no factual information from BMW to sustain the claims above.

As for pricing it would seem that demand persists despite 2018s increase for virtually no additional equipment. So it stands to reason you will see a hefty increase for the fully fledged M car. Seats, mirrors, motor. 5K+ easy.

it depends.
If its an "add on" to the base, as a comp pack, then it will be a $4k option. If its a CS model, then it will be $5k more. Hunch is it will be an M2 CS that is $6k more. Remember they will build to a price, and not steal from M4 sales. Similar to the early Cayman vs. 911 days.

I have no reason to believe that a limited edition M2 CS needs to less that a base M3/M4, especially when an M4 CS is so much more than a base M4. IMHO, a M2 CS typically would not attract most base M3/M4 buyers. CSs are tilted toward the track, so many buyers will not put up with the suspension or the lightened interior deletions.
