Yeah, I'd like to see that... my CA says it's not possible on M2.

Wow, I'd love to get that financing offer. I emailed my CA and he just said all they offer is 3.31% through BMWFS

Congrats to those of you getting 1% or better from BMW FS - that is indeed free money - you should leverage it to the max. Truly great rates!

I tried hard to get similar terms recently at a dealer I've been buying from for years and years - and who has always treated me fairly. I couldn't get less than 3%, let alone 1% or 0.9%. So again, congrats!

But it does make we wonder .... BMW FS is not in the business of losing money ...
It's possible the dealerships are buying the rate down with profits they're making elsewhere. It would be interesting to know if those of you getting these great rates paid MSRP, over MSRP or under. Were dealer-added options, warranties or services part of these deals? Any of you willing to share that?

Don't believe so. But my business partner and I bought two vehicles at the same time so maybe that had something to do with it? He bought a slightly used 16' M3 his rate was 3%.

Mine was surprisingly sold at sticker at the time being but car was fully loaded and I did get the full extended warranty on top of the payment.

Updates ...

I got allocation for December. CA asked for $500 deposit, and I gave him my credit info. I emailed him to ask for the production number, and he sent back with my build sheet (pdf) with production number (week#49). However, I don't see any charges on my card, and he didn't take my deposit.

Is it a guaranteed spot for my allocation? Do I need to worry about that he still hasn't taken out $500 for the deposit? What do you guys think?

I think you should be fine. Especially since he actually sent you a build sheet with prod #. My CA sent me a deposit form also for $1000 but he told me he doesn't actually charge the $1000 deposit. More like to make management happy.

It sounds like you're using the same dealer as just blaze and I. I was initially concerned too, but it now makes a lot of sense...

Legally, a dealer cannot take a non-refundable deposit. Taking a CC payment costs money for them to do, and the CA doesn't get commission on it because it's not really a sale, and the finance staff have to take care of and keep track of these funds floating around that don't actually apply to a sale... yet.

If you're prepared to fill in the form thinking that they're going to take payment, you're a serious customer, even if they don't actually take it.

I realise that some (many) dealers actually do take a deposit, but this actually seems a more logical approach to me.

Sweet. Who’s your CA? I ordered mine from them as well. Still thinking I might lease.
