Traffic should be cleared now. It is time to take the M2 for a spin again. I want to reach the 1200 miles break-in period ASAP.

Life is short. Enjoy while you are still able to.
All are welcome, regardless of age. If you're a car guy you're one of us!

Driving this M2 makes me feel young again. It has been over 30 years since I drove a manual transmission and I missed it, so I bought the M2 with 6MT. It is a blast to drive but with consequences....

I haven't received a speeding ticket in 20 years but got 1 on the first day with the M2. It is extremely challenging to stay under the speed limit. Most of the speed limits around Chicago Suburbs are between 25mph to 45mph. So by the time I was in the 3rd gear I had already reached the speeding limit.

I don't want to bore you with this post so I will stop here. But if you see an old man driving a blue M2, please move out of his way. He drives like a 25 years young man.

I attended the FLATOUT event in Tulsa this year... there were at least 2 M2 owners there that are certainly well into their 60s.. One is an instructor.

Depending on WHEN you drove a Trans Am in the 1980s.. one wouldn't necessarily have to be a senior citizen.. (assuming that begins at 55). I graduated in 1986 and I am not yet 50.

I am in the illinois burbs as well. If u see a grey Audi RS4 speeding along with you. it's more than likely me...Not until spring though. if there is salt on the road my car hibernates for the winter. have fun out there! congrats on the M2!

I am turning 65 in a few months. I thought I was the top dog in the senior category on this forum, but the M2 gentleman in TX beats me by 10 years. I would be very happy just to be able to drive this M2 for another 5 years. Anything fun that I can have after reaching 70s would be a bonus. Since I have all the free time in the world now, I will be Zoom Zoom in this M2 all over Chicago areas every day and hopefully run into some of you on the road.

My father - via my idea & encouragement - ordered a new Cayman S 6spd a year ago at age 68. He loves driving that thing - I think it took a few years off.

Approaching 64 here. Received my M2 in September as a retirement present to myself. Have not had a speeding ticket in 14 years so I'm about due for one.

You lot make me laugh. Ím 62 and was driving a Triumph TR4 in the 70ˋs. I feel as young as a 25 year old ! This M2 is the most civilized sports car I’ve ever had.

Cayman S, or GTS (2016), that was my plan B if I could not get the allocation for my M2.

Only 57 and feeling like I need a real sports car while I can still get in one! Figure that is another 10 years of getting into real low cars, which isn't long enough!

Got you beat by about a year. The M2 is the most fun car I have owned. So glad I took the chance. Like you say, I have all the free time and no work commute so can take the roads I want, when I want. After a year every drive is a joy working thru the gears and listening to that sound.

At 71 I enjoy my MT M2 as my daily driver and occasionally my wife's Audi RS3. On the weekends my early 911 hot rod gets some exercise too. Age has no bearing on being a car enthusiast.

Correct.

The best thing about the love for cars... It does not matter if you are 2 or 102 !!

It's rumoured that BMW, in recognition of its older customer base, will be offering to replace the cup holders with a denture holder.

I'd give up one of my kidneys if they'd make a M2 Convertible.
