Adaptive headlights

My M2 has adaptive headlights which I ordered as an option. They come will auto beam assist but I am finding that they do not dip all the time with on coming traffic and I have to override them all the time! Can you get the sensitivity adjusted ? Does anyone else think this is an issue .

Hmm, that's odd. My auto beam assist seems to be almost too sensitive; it dips the lights occasionally when there is no other traffic. It always dips the beam when other cars are around.

The non-LED auto-highbeams are just Xenons with the camera controlling the high-beam shutter, AFAIK.

However, you are in the UK; I'm not sure how they work over there because presumably you get AFL and NGHB rather than the relatively stupid "on/off" system that we get in North America.

Auto High Beams

My experience with auto high beam headlights has been good. When dealing with cars headlights and tail lights, they change at appropriate times. Lighting without traffic from street lights can kept the low beams on, but that means the road is lit or manual intervention is possible. They are far from perfect, but good with traffic and way better than the last car I rode in that has this feature.
