This one came with mpss: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1404939

YMMV, it's probably still luck of the draw whether you get those or conti's.

PSS are no longer being produced I believe as they were replaced with the pilot sport 4s. So there's a possibility m cars may start coming with them

M cars won't see the PS4S for a whiiiiilllleee.

They'll probably use up MPSS stock and then switch to Conti - if you check my thread on the type of tire, etc, the number of car with Conti's has been steadily increasing over the last few months. It still favors MPSS but probably not for long.

Of course they are still being produced

and as gmzanatta says, you won't see them on the M2 for a long while - I mean they are still putting 10 year old Conti's on the car now!

and yes, we are just going on what we have seen in the past.

And in this case.. past performance can be very useful predictor of future

PS4S tires

Put PS4S tires on my 2016 M2 2 weeks ago and have had two track days... both street sprints. I'm really still a novice at the track but there seemed to be a noticeable improvement on the PSS's.

Interestingly, I was running the PSS's at around 32-33 psi hot all round, which seemed to be the ideal temperature. With the PS4s's, I really needed 35-36 hot to get the best grip. Any lower and they shuddered in the corners a little. Still experimenting so I'd appreciate other people's opinions!

On the road, the PS4s's were definitely quieter than the PSS's, which is great as road noise over coarse bitumen was quite a problem on our local Aussi roads.
