First track day of the season. Felt great. Completely discolored the front calipers. They were already starting to discolor but today was a whole new level. No where close to original blue color now.

Rear DRL's on

Triple Flash when locking

Immediate folding wing mirrors when locking

Auto stop/start default OFF.

Temp data on the tyre pressure screen

Seat belt beeps off

and some others but cannot remember.

I cannot express how better the car is without the ASD drone!! Like having a new car.
With the ASD coded off, did the quality of music through speakers improve? Also, did you get any sort of a hissing sound as many report getting?

The hissing was reported on some early cars (2016) when ASD was coded out. It sounded like residual hiss from the ASD amp. I wasn't sure if my car would do this, so I went with the bypass harness.

Like most who've done this, I like it a LOT better without the fake engine noise. You can really hear the (real) turbo more.

Picked up my 2018 6MT MGM M2 in Munich on April 20:

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...postcount=4138

Drove 1,733 km through Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Heidelberg, Amsterdam, Nürburg and then to Baden-Baden. Not quite there yet but no driving today so I took her in for her break in service exactly one week after delivery.

Love this car!

Not today but over the last couple of weeks, installed fabspeed downpipe, BMC drop in filter, new wheels and diffuser.

Also, lost my front lip due to an unknown reason. Waiting on the replacement.

r w carbon makes some excellent replicas if you're not trying to drop another $1600 on something that's going to break again in a few months

Actually, Vorsteiner stood by their product and sent me a replacement under warranty. The lip literally came apart at the seams at high speed.

Yeah. Tell me about it! They said it's only happened once before. I'm not complaining. Ordered skid plates this time around to make me feel better.

This is interesting. Did you happen to drive on track with the front lip installed?

Always had concerns about the rigidity of aftermarket front spoiler/lips being able to sustain the pressure. After all, it is forcing the whole front end down, and that's a lot of stress on the mounting points.

Nothing against the manufacture, defects happen, but it's still interesting to see.

It saw maybe five track days before the failure. This happened on the highway while I was going maybe 80 mph. The first thing I thought was it can't withstand that type of downforce but isn't that it's purpose?

If you keep your DCT car and get an M2C which one will you track? Will you add some light weight parts from the M2C to your N55 DCT car for the track or the new brakes? Maybe some easy weight savings with hood, trunk, do an exhaust, and the battery?

Or maybe it's the other way around and the DCT stays the grocery getter and the M2C MT hits the track?

I like the new wheels but the exhaust tips are not doing it for me.

How do you like the down pipe now that you are out of the woods on the CEL? Would you recommend it? How's the butt dyno? Any improvement on throttle response?

I like it. It makes the intakes look bigger. Kind of how a mid 90s 911 turbo told you it was a turbo.

More likely that I'm not fast and am just too hard on the brakes.
