I doubt they fired them.

The company has to prove that they did their part in assisting an employee to get rehabilitation. It's not as simple as saying you're fired for being drunk at work.

Dear BMW AG,

Provide the VIN for those that were effected and issue recalls.

Yep exactly this. Here is what will likely happened. Forced rehab to keep their jobs. They go to rehab then come back. 6 months pass and someone finds something minuscule to fire them over.

Like microwaving fish in the break room. Although one can argue that should be a fireable offense.

In 1969, the summer after my freshman year of college, I briefly worked at the Chrysler Sterling Stamping Plant in Sterling Heights, MI. Among other things, I was on the line that stamped hoods and trunk lids for the Plymouth Duster. At lunch break every day we used to go out to one guy's VW microbus and get high. True story.

Lol, my dad worked for GM back then too and I think he and his buddies helped the Japanese brands immeasurably in their efforts to gain a foothold here.

these workers must have had something to do with the location of the clutch bleeder valve. no one in their right mind would make a bleeder valve basically inaccessible.
