I am in the SATX area and have been to BMW of SA multiple times. I've found that it is such a massive dealer that it can be hit and miss. It's all about knowing the right people. My first service experience was mediocre but then I was assigned to an exceptional service advisor who has never hesitated to bend over backwards to help me out.

On the sales side I have found some incredibly knowledgeable people but also some who are not particularly helpful. Being an outsider from this area I was astounded at how much traffic and customer volume BMW of SA has every day.

I am looking forward to the opening of the third largest BMW dealer in the world (new BMW of SA) and expect to see them on this list for years to come.

I was surprised by this one too. I know they were on the list last year.

I didn't end up buying (CPO X1) from them, but I knew from the moment I started dealing with them that I would be having them service my car.

BMW Darien in CT should be rated THE ABSOLUTE WORST dealership in all of North America. They treat customers as though they are doing you a favor... the service department is wholly incompetent, and the management is dishonest, pathological liars. Anyone who gives them business deserves whatever happens to you. Dealership in Greenwich CT is OK, BMW of Bridgeport CT is fantastic with an awesome sales AND service Dept.

The salesmen here literally don't have to know their product when there are 80 year old snow birds driving m6's because they just wanted the most expensive 6 series. It's so easy to bs and make money down here for the dealerships.
When I bought my f30 4 years ago a sales guy at Torrance bmw tried to threaten to cancel my mom's car if I canceled my order. And they wanted a $15k markup on an m2.

Their service department is good tho. Mom and I bought canceled our orders and went to other dealers. These awards mean nothing
Their service department equally sucks, surprised to see them on this list, someone is bribing or lying, they should be first on the worst list

BMW of Gainesville was excellent when we bought my wife's 428i. Scott Mills (GM) gave us personalized attention during the purchase. Highly recommended for anyone in central Florida.

I will second that claim. Pines BMW has been the best sales experience for me in FL. Have not had a chance to try their service yet.

So many silly comments here.. why do people think just because they themselves had a bad experience at a dealership they automatically think everyone else will have the same exact experience and therefore that dealership does not deserve the award????? It's the same on any reviews or recommendations with anything. Mind boggling... I

Clearly you have never visited Santa Monica, California to try to buy a BMW.

I'm in South Florida, and how dealers like Vista BMW and Braman BMW sell cars is beyond me. They price gouge like crazy!

Coggin BMW on the other hand gave me an offer that I couldn't turn down and the customer service was absolutely wonderful. Again, a huge surprise to me that I would be posting a positive review of a Florida BMW dealer.

With that being said though, how did Steve Thomas BMW not make this list? They are top notch and deserve to be on it!
Vista and Brahman blow. Go to Sarasota! Way better!
I got my last bmw from vista (coconut creek ). clueless people

Although I've purchased a car from Ridgefield, I wouldn't consider them good to work with on a car, especially the M I tried getting there.

Hudson Valley were also meh the few times I've been there.

I'm not sure what goes into "excellence" but it may not be what I consider excellence in a dealership.

I think there are various factors taken into account including customer surveys, sales revune, and customer retention.
Revenue? Lol. Stop guessing. You have no clue.

Interesting that the award is for best North American dealer, however it's only for the U.S.

"BMW of North America, LLC is announcing its annual Center of Excellence honors. We are pleased to award these 33 dealers as 2017 Center of Excellence winners. Excellent business performance and intense focus on customer service are what keep BMW of North America one of the most successful automotive companies in the U.S."

Congrats to the dealers that made the list and any of their employees that happen to see this thread.
Braman was worthless, my 4th bmw here, looking to buy a pre-owned in next few weeks, guess i'll check out coggin. Do you have a name or anybody recommended for used?

Thanks

Jack
I use Coggin exclusively for service (they are so good that it is worth the hour drive from Palm Beach) and I buy from them from time to time (I buy from several dealers depending on who gives me the best deal on the car I want). If you go to Coggin, contact the sales manager, Dave Colonna, and tell him what you want. He will not waste your time and he will either say yes or no to your proposal. FYI, I put Dave's name as the contact person because Coggin's sales people come and go. Dave, on the other hand, has been running Coggin BMW for a good 12-13 years.
