Debadge ???

As the title suggests.

There are pros and cons of taking the M2 badge off, for example less attention.

Anybody contemplating this ?

Nope but i do want to black out the badge.

As for less attention, i'm getting LBB so removing the badge won't help me there lol

I'm going to rebadge with 228i

Jk. I feel like usually it's the people that wish they had the M that remove the badges. It does look cleaner however. I wouldn't remove. Maybe id go with the black ones.

This seems kind of pointless. I think any fanboy (or fangirl) of the M2 will recognize it with or without the badge. Anyone not in the avid fan group probably wouldn't know what it means anyway. Despite the endless cohorts of experts on this forum... we are kind of a niche.

Switch it for Tiburon and let me know how it goes

I am so hardcore, I am going to make all my badges black - and THEN debadge.
Badass x 2!

(srsly... will probably go with black rebadge, but undecided)

The car that really should be de-badged is the M235i in my neighborhood that somehow "lost" the "35i" part of the badge on his car. I did a double-take at first, but quickly realized the situation for what it was.

I have a coworker who drives a Caddy CTS with CTS-V badges. Fortunately, he has never said he drives a cts-v. Would hate to call him out.

You, as a grown adult (probably), are asking strangers on the Internet asking about the pros and cons of debadging your own vehicle? What will come next? Almost every car in Europe does not have any trunk badges - that is because it is a no-cost option amongst other reasons. So an European, I'm laughing someone is making a thread about this, haha.

If you remove the badge, those, who know, will know that you drive an M2; those, who don't care, won't care. Either way, cleaning, polishing & waxing will be easier for ya.

Your money, your problems, my fellow.

What an absurd comment dear fellow, perhaps one should query your age with the reply you've forwarded and wipe the grin off ' ya ' face.

Firstly to " Debadge " was put up for opinion not for advice.

Secondly the idea of debadging is taken quite seriously in the UK with the amount of house burglaries purely for car keys and being followed home with aggravated assault is not unheard of,even with high end cars it offers a level of inconspicuousness. Not everybody wants to advertise the model they drive remember.

Sorry, I mis-read your location info - thought it said "US."

Wow! Scary stuff.

Still not sure the debadging will help hide it as an M car... unless you were thinking of removing your double shotgun exhaust as well.

If you squint your eyes it may be mistaken for a random 2 series ...perhaps

There is a joke going round here about the new Focus RS.If you buy one, make sure you buy your own security guard with it as well.
I guess people over here really like ' their ' cars

I don't see the point in de-badging the M2.
