Decided to give BMW Genius a call and check on the status. They said its scheduled to arrive at Maryland port today on the Morning Caroline. Of course we all know that it arrived on the 1st. I guess this is the point where information isn't gonna be as up to date through them.

The BMW toll-free center, MyBMW and Genius are always two to a few days behind on the shipping process. Your CA is the best source of the latest information. You car may already be on a truck!

Yep, I spoke to my CA and he confirmed it is at the VPC right now.

For anyone on "horizon highway", and doing PCD, good news.
It appears to have skipped Brunswick and headed to Charleston.
I assume it's because of the Irma, maybe not. But it's 2 days ahead of schedule to dock in Charleston.

Horizon Highway is still going to Brunswick. Colonel's Island Terminal scheduled to arrive in the 14th

Edit: Tiger is suppose to port on the same day in Brunswick

I know, I know. But it was originally scheduled to go Brunswick (9/8) first and then Charleston (9/10). I thought it was weird since Charleston is closer to Baltimore.

Felt like I have a newly acquired OCD. How did I end up here, tracking a shipping vessel, but my delivery was already set for still a month out.

It's stopped right off of the DR and Puerto Rico right now. Looks like it's dead in the tracks of Hurricane Jose right now.

So I'd expect a delay on it reaching the Canal on 9/12 and California on 9/21. And maybe a ding or two.

Mine's on the same boat. It has to be because of Irma. The Georgia Ports Authority said it will be ceasing operations at the Ports of Savannah and Brunswick Saturday through Tuesday.

Although it is docked, does not mean it will do unloading. My guess is the cars scheduled to be unloaded at a later time will get loaded first. So the ship is probably just stay there and wait. Otherwise, it won't have to come back to Charleston after Brunswick according to the updated schedule. I hope that is not the case, but we should always prepare for the worst.

I discovered a little hack that lets you see the actual position of your ship even if you don't have access to the satellite tracking feature.

1. Start with this view (for your particular ship): https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...ING%20CAROLINE
   
2. In the little maplet in the lower left, click the "Latest Position" button. This takes you to the larger tracking map. If the ship is outside of radio range for tracking, it will show you the last reported position.
   
3. Click the button for "Route Forecast." This will draw a line on the map from the last reported position and show the predicted track to the next destination.
   
4. Zoom out least three levels. As you do this the other ships on the map will drop out and you'll be left with the predicted track and the satellite-reported position of your ship!
