Accuracy of remaining range at low fuel warning?

My others cars have some sort of buffer miles after range gets to zero. Is the M2c the same or do ze Germans take that zero seriously?

As far as I know there is no reserve on M2s. The range is pretty accurate.

First "chime" I get is a "reserve" notice at 1/4 tank, then the orange remaining range mileage.

biggest gripe of the f22/f87 platform on what I would otherwise considered a near perfect M car.

13.7ga tank versus 16.7ga on my e36 which is almost dimensionally the same car.

Can confirm that my 21 M2C does have some buffer built in and have tested this fairly extensively. If the fuel consumption numbers that my cars displays are to be believed (which I reset along with the trip odometer at every fill up), when the range first hits zero or the "----", there is about 0.7-1 gallons left in the tank. So, depending on how your driving style, you'll have somewhere between 15-25 miles theoretically. I have never run out of gas completely, but I have gotten down to less than half a gallon in the tank

Well, took her down to 1 mile remaining and pulled into the gas station at home offramp. Whew. Lol. Started drive with 23 mi remaining (pic) and drove 31mi.
