Front plate can cost you several miles per gallon.

That's because if you drive like a reasonable citizen there's no reason to get pulled over so it sounds like your an ace in that category.

Insane video ... glad the driver escaped with only minor injuries. It could have certainly been much worse.

That driver should be charged and put in prison for a long time. He doesn't even care what he did, while the guy with the camera stopped to check the situation. This people have no place on the road or in the society. Unbelievable!

This 5 miles stretch of freeway is right before my exit to go home. Daily - there are drunk drivers and racers.

Two women in 4 series' that could have died but survived in the last couple days. There's something to be said about the safety and engineering in those cars. It makes either want to buy one or never drive one.

Hmm I wonder when the car was reported stolen. I can't imagine a thief drawing that much attention to himself by racing in a stolen car. But then again he or she is probably a moron anyway if your stealing cars
Let's say it was the owner driver, even if he does report it stolen I'm betting the police could track his cell phone and match up the location.

This sucks, one thing I noticed is the sensible driver with the camera was obviously aware of his rear... saw the incident and stopped .... since moving to the US I have noticed the "any lane" passing - legal or not- makes me much more aware of mirrors.

Good looking GC. Just a point of interest the BMW had no front license plate either... so was it CA or out of state?

PA has lots of 'nanny state' stuff with beer and wine but doesn't require a front plate :

Lots of CA drivers don't run a front plate. I never did when I lived there and only got tickets when street parked around downtown LA where the vigilant meter maids could get you.

It’s required but poorly enforced.

And if it was reported stolen after the time this was known to happen, he's going to look really stupid too.

I feel like the owner would be suspect number one if the time of call was post collision. I'm sure there's other evidence they could find as well. I'm no detective so I'm speaking mostly in generalities.

I meant call BS of the fact that the car was stolen.

I hope it was stolen but at the same time I see idiots driving all sorts of cars like this in the Bay Area. I just feel like a car thief would not be trying to race an old Nissan if he or she was trying to fly under the radar. But who knows :
