I like both cars but prefer the looks of the M2 as well as the RWD and 50/50 weight distribution. Also had to have manual so the decision was easy - the M2.

Regarding the RS3, I'm considering replacing my wife's 335 with it.

The A3 is useless in the back, FYI. I'm 5'9 and I can't sit up straight in the back. I can, however, sit up in the 2er's back seat. To be frank, I'd rather have a M340i than the RS3. I also think the 3er has more caché.

Issue Aug 2017, Sportauto Carmag:
TTRS 2.5 I5 turbo, 400PS, 1473kg, DCT7, AWD, from €66.400,00
M2: 3.0 I6 turbo, 370PS, 1562kg, DCT7, RWD, from €57.500,00

Laptime Hockenheim Short.
TTRS: 1:12,8
M2: 1:12,6

Exterior/interior TTRS shines and makes the M2 look bland and boring, great sound (from the Gr B 80s)
but where the M2 shines is (dancing) in curves( roadholding, G force, braking) etc etc and not only objectively spoken our hero/the winner...

Cheers

When the M2 CS will be released, TT RS will be smashed on all the other tracks too!

^Exaclty, except for going on a little diet, more grunt would be very very welcome.

It misses about 50HP for the same stock layout/setup like the original car is now. Imho.
More is nice, but it has to be driveable too and without changing anything(tyres etc) that would be the HP increase to even more enjoy that superfantastic chassis it already has.

Cheers

Personally I don't agree that the exterior of the M2 looks bland and boring.
Interior yes though...

The exterior is sex because of the hips and aggressive look.

He was speaking about the interior, not about the exterior, so sorry for that, me being a bit hasty with translating

Yep an M2 looks way better proportionally(hips/curves/wheelarches) than any TTRS which looks bland and like a flat New Beetle with four rings on it.

Cheers

I think this shows how great the M2 really is...... based on the group it is compared to. less hp than the Audi, same as the Porsche, very close times in all tests and right in the excitement bucket with all of them and all this at 10k less base than the audi and 14k base than the Porsche.

I can't wait to get mine

You forgot to mention that the M2 weighs ~200 lbs more than the RS. The power to weight ratio really favors the Audi but true to typical Audi dynamics, it's (ever so slightly) slower around Hockenheim Short track.

My coworker has a TTRS. All I am going to say is that the TTRS purrs like a cute little kitty compared to the lion growl of the M2 (mine is equipped with MPE). I was a little embarrassed for him (and I was a little disapointed by the TTRS sound too).

Nonetheless, the TTRS is a very good looking car and probably more usable all year around in the TrueNorth aka Canada.

Drove the new TT RS in Dubai for about a week, and I must say I am impressed by it. It is a much better car than the one before.

The differences with the M2 are major. Both cars are beyond comparable. Although they have one major thing in common, they are both a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Fun in completely different ways.

TT RS is a lot faster, has better traction due to its 4WD, better brakes, nicer interior and a better finish all around. Feels like a more compact package.

M2 is way more joyful in its power delivery, has a slightly better steering feel for my liking, is more brutal in its power delivery where the Audi is smoother and overall feels more like a 'toy', the Audi is more all-around.

I would easily opt for the TT RS if the M2 wasn't there. Taking it over the M2 is really difficult, because the RS is a lot more expensive.
