BMW M2 2018 Order Information

Hey guys,

This is my first thread here even though I have been following the M2 forum for a while now.
I have ordered my M2 in the beginning of April and have had it scheduled for delivery in June (yes its an EU order). Earlier today I have received a call from my dealer and he asked me how important is it for me to receive the car in June. I had an idea where this was going so I said it is not that important.

The next thing he told me was that he just got a number of allocations available for the face lifted version of the M2 (2018 model) scheduled for delivery in July (1 month later than my original delivery time of the old model). It was an immediate yes for me so here you go.

First delivery dates are (allegedly - until tomorrow) scheduled for July! 100% conformation coming from them tomorrow. Quite happy for this as originally my M2 would have been the last of its kind

They don't have that information yet but they think it's scheduled for the 3rd week of July. Fingers crossed.

Confirmed delivery in July (1st week - the latest 2nd week) for the M2 LCI. If anyone is interested. Moved from a 2017 order to the LCI.

I would be really surprised if you received delivery of an LCI in July when the construction start date for those models is no sooner than sometime July. Especially when pricing isn't even available yet.

That's going to be quite a trick, with start of production for the LCI on July 17...

I might have misunderstood my dealer or they are just talking crap. I'm not going to argue with anyone haha, just passing on what my dealer told me. Pricing is already out, at least what I saw it's a 3000eur increase.

I cannot read German, but it appears this guide is non committal on metallic colors. From what I can tell it says you can get Alpine White and metallic colors.
I will enjoy my little hope of getting a silver one while it lasts.

Some more information on the LCI is finally out! Just got my chassis number today, scheduled to leave the factory on the 2nd week of July.

Although my dealers told me the delivery will be in first week of July at first, I am still satisfied with the delivery date. Around 25th of July I should have my car in my garage

Our orders must have hit BMW around the same time. I initially placed my MY17 order on April 10th with a late July delivery. Then a couple weeks ago I found out that it was flipped to a MY18. It started production last Tuesday and is scheduled to complete production on July 10th, although I was told it would complete early.

I believe you're in Europe, I'm in the states so I don't expect to have my car until mid-August. Either way, it's not too far off.

My car is scheduled to be completed on 13th of July if I'm precise. So very close!

Week 28 is still LCI correct? I just put in an order yesterday but someone in front of me cancelled his order which is the same exact build. now they are giving me Week 28.

Must be. My chassis is confirmed and the car should be assembled on the 13th of July.

It better be - I got my VIN today for Week 27 and a July 7 build.
