I'm very greatful for this guy.
Nasty.

1. Wear gloves.
2. Clean the Alcantara every month or so - you will be surprised how much dirt gets accumulated in the material
3. or do both

Easy peasy. Damp microfiber towel, gently rub it over the surface and in 15 minutes you're done.

Nicely done man! The MPE gearshifter with the alcantara boot w/ blue stitching, is that a factory part or did you do it yourself?

I bought the normal MPE shift knob with white stiching and my upholsterer changed the OEM alcantara boot with polar blue stitching.I like it!

I'm thinking about doing the same in my F20. I have the M seats with alcantara and polar blue stitching and I think it would look really cool! BMW should offer this as OEM MPE parts though...

Nice! How's the throw and shift action on that shifter? Does it shorten the throw and/or tighten the engagements compared to the stock shifter?

Do you have a part number for the steering wheel? I've been waiting patiently for it's release.

Steering wheel: 32302413014
CF trim: 32302413480

You need to buy both if you want the CF piece or just use the stock piece again.

I wonder when that CF piece will be made by a third party vendor. I like the idea of that one on the stock wheel...

I guess that is my question. I had understood from your prior post that to get the CF piece you had to order the full MPE wheel...:

"Steering wheel: 32302413014

What I meant was that the trim isn't included with the steering wheel. They are sold as separate items. So no problem getting either one individually.

Anyone know when this one will be available? It was rumored for June release.

So I might use my "old" M Performance steering wheel from the F21 and just need to add the new CF trim...that would be lovely. I just need another stitching but that can be done easily and is cheaper than buying a new wheel...

I hate the leather-alcantara combination and the look of the new MP steering wheel in general.
