5th is closest to 1:1 ratio

Today I installed my catless dp from vrsf and my intercooler. I love how the car sounds now. I will post a vid up soon.
Tomorrow I'm going to call English racing for a dyno pull and see what happens.

I was missing a piece for my jb4, but mike is taking care of it. (Shoutout to mike, at extreme) and then I'll do another dyno with the jb4.
Stay tuned.

Dyno day is scheduled for oct 3. I'm going to do a few passes with the jb4 off, then turn it on to map 2, do a few passes and then I may or may not run a couple of gallons of e85 mixed with the 92 octane on map 7. I have heard you can do that.. but I'm not sure. So will do some more research before I do it.

Read in "Truth, Lies, and Dynojet Runs" that if you took the car to 25 different Dynojets, the numbers would read the same within 1/2 HP using SAE. But under similar environmental conditions, STD should still yield consistent results on Dynojets.

This suggests that dyno is not skewing readings and that the stock car is simply flowing more air for some reason. Also, that large of power % diff can't be explained by 66F air.

The only likely reasons I can think of for a 5-6% gain in power is a problem with the car's MAF sensor reading too low or a mod to car's firmware was done.

I just purchased a JB4 and BMS Water/Methanol Injection kit - should be arriving sometime this week.

Curious to hear your thoughts / opinion on the JB4-M2 combo!

Not good, make sure u throw it on Mustang or Dynojet see your baseline + tune.
In my testing X4 M40i (similar M2 engine) made 335/336 stock, 350/349 bolt-ons (DP/FMIC/stock intake) and 355/404 jb4 map2 (but after 5500rpm map2 was dropping under stock bolt on run.

lol I don't understand the hate. I put my car on a dyno.. bone stock. Came back with those numbers. Posted the proof of numbers online. Going to same place to dyno it with my mods. Don't know what else to tell you.

I've had the drivetrain malfunction turn on already. I'm not sure, but honestly on the butt dyno.. it doesn't feel like anything more. But looking at the gauges they sure do go up fast. I'm going to wait for the dyno numbers and than see what happens. My friend just installed mhd on her 235, and she loves it. She is the first car with mhd and the guy is local. So I might switch over to that, depending on how the next week and a half will go and the dyno numbers with the car.

On a local dynojet the car put down 346/377. I'm hoping that with meth injection the car will run strong and pick up some decent gains.

I know without any sort of additive fueling the M2 struggles up top (HPFP crashing). I'll hopefully get back on the dyno after going through some tuning adjustments with Terry@BMS.

Interesting. Wonder why that drivetrain malfunction occured. Do you have any sort of extra fueling to supplement whats in the tank (meth or ethanol)? Did you update to the latest JB4 firmware? If you've updated it miiight be worth e-mailing Terry@BMS or any of the guys at BMS for some help. They're pretty quick to respond and quite knowledgeable.

What octane are you running?

I'm not sure why it turned on. I scanned the codes and it stated that not enough fuel. It was updated to the latest firmware by my buddy. Which the latest firmware doesn't turn on the cel. So I had it flashed back to the older firmware because I have a catless dp. So I don't get a cel on again. So far have not had issues using the older firmware.

It's not about hate. Get over it.

All dynojets use the same fixed amount of mass for their rollers. F=ma.

The 66F ambient temps only go so far in increasing oxygen density. (not 5% over other pulls done around the same temp)

Therefore, logically it seems that your car is able to flow more air than others (at same atmospheric pressure and temp) for some reason. Without exhaust mod, this can only be accomplished with higher boost. Octane diff between 91 and 93 would only yield maybe 10-15hp max for stock tune.

Most M2's on different dynojets have peaks around 330-335 depending on the octane level.

Maks, do you have the .drf file for that run 003 that you showed in the first post? (003.drf) I would really like to look at it in WinPEP7 where I can see everything without straining my poor eyes LOL.

When Lucas loaded my DSM onto his gigantic trailer in 2015, the other 3 cars on it were all Nissan GT-Rs. No BMWs. Would be nice to see that change!

Here are my 3 pulls on a stock M2 DCT...very similar results. Numbers might be a little low since I pulled off track and hit the dyno without a long cool down:

I posted the file but it's blurry again. I don't know why. When I save it, it looks great. When I post it. It becomes blurry

I've dumped WinPep7 as it only shows White Background, a little higher numbers and no temperature, humidity, unlike Winpep8 more features more info and easier on the eyes for overlaying different size.

I guess because the CF:STD was used which is 4% higher than CF:SAE

The STD CF is an older standard that yields slightly higher HP numbers, so don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap (just use the SAE CF!!).
