Genius told me the same thing - but I don't believe them. Many people here state that (supported by lots of factual evidence) it is the week of production completion.

Right, that's why I'm confused. I guess I'll just have to keep calling them until my car goes into production to find out

I'm week 33 also, and my prediction - assuming we remain week 33 - is that our cars will go into production (move to status 150) on Aug 7 (start of week 32) and complete production on or before Aug 20 (last day of week 33).

As a real-life example of the build week being the production complete date (155) ... here's a wk 28 car that went 155 on the last day of wk 28. http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=11

Time will tell.

I'm having a good day regarding my wait-impatiently-forever orders! The custom Collings I ordered in February shipped from the Austin factory yesterday - should have it in 4 or 5 days. And ... I did my daily call to the 800 number today - finally got an update on my M2 production status.

My wk 33 car has entered production, estimated production complete on Aug 18.

As Aug 18 is indeed week 33, this confirms what this forum has always indicated: The build week is the week that the car completes production. As opposed to what BMW Genius will tell you - they continue to tell me that it's the week the car enters production.

So I'm a week 33 person whose car is actually keeping to the week 33 production-complete schedule. Yay! I think there are a number of other folks on this forum who are week 33 - suggest you call the 800 number to see if your status as updated. 800 831-1117, option 2.

Next OCD exercise will be to start tracking the boat. For fun, I will predict that I won't get on a boat until Aug 25. 30 days to Port Hueneme puts it on the ground in CA on Sep 24. At least a week - probably 10 days - to get through customs and trucked to dealer. If all goes well I'll have it in the 1st half of October.

Mine started 8/4 also. Assuming your production complete date is the same as mine (Aug 18), you effectively got bumped up to Week 33. Congrats.

Now that my car is in production, it has a VIN. Called BMW Genius to get it. With a VIN, I can actually add the car in MyBMW (USA) - production number should have, but didn't work.

Added the car - it accepted it - and it now shows as an option in the "Track My BMW" section. Ironically identified via production number.

But the site still has problems - it shows the car as a "0 BMW". Doesn't indicate its an M2, but does show the proper color and interior. 1st world problems.

I received a VIN # today at dealers print out. It states status 150,production started. I have not called BMW yet. I will check 800 # next week.

Week 33

Got moved up almost 2 months to week 33. I can't believe it actually, I was mentally prepared for a 5-6 month wait now it's already in production.

Week 33 with estimated completion date of August 19th. Holy shit!!

Status: 150 but still can't track through MyBMW

I changed from LBB to MG at the last moment , no regrets.

Are we thinking late September or early October delivery? Got a lot of plans for this little car.

Your dealer should be able to give you the VIN since it's status 150 and you can use that to track on MyBMW. August 15th for me, cheers!

I'm a week 33 ..status 150.. completion date 8/16. I have a PCD confirmation for 10/13/17! They expect the car to arrive two weeks before that.. so that gives you an idea if you are getting from a dealer and not PCD.

So I would guess east coast delivery at a dealer would be late Sept..I could get early if I don't do PCD.. but I've waited 6 months already and I heard PCD is great!

Hope this info helps

Also pushed back a day. 8/15 to 8/16. Genius seemed really confused and couldn't understand why it had been in production since 7/12. He said there should have been updates between then and now but I suspect it was the plant closure. He told me to reach out to me CA.

Did you guys progress from Status 150 to 155 with the other steps or was it just straight from 150 to 155.

150 Production Started
151 Body Shop Started
152 Paint Shop Started
153 Assembly Started
155 Production Completed

I only ask because I called today and they said estimated completion 8/17 now (another day back) and the genius said its still on Status 150 which makes no sense to him why it isn't being updated since it's been 150 for over a month.

I stopped paying attention to the online notifications since it didn't really work for me, instead I just called the 800-number and got better info.

I sort of wish I didn't give up my spot just to join in on all of the joys of status updates! My mind wandered too much and then my patience gave out so I wound up getting something else. I'll be following to see all of your cars come in! Hopefully there won't be any EPA CARB holds.
