Nope. Started in Traction, then mid way through it's in Sport+. No comfort allowed in my car.

So was it the flaps that I heard? I could hear the clicking noise. I'm trying to work out the flaps logic.

Exhaust flaps have nothing to do with the loud cold start. It is just the internal wastage (into the turbine housing) that stay open for some seconds to heat up the cat quicker. All modern turbo cars have the same feature.
