just got back from APR. they measured it with the lip on, but you can slot the holes to make it work with the stock bumper. because the middle of the bumper is higher than the sides, spacers might be needed to hold it in place. it will stick out 2" from the edge of the 3d design lip, or 3.5" from the stock bumper. when the piece comes in, we'll figure out where to attach the rods. we also looked into rear wing fitment. unfortunately they're sold out and don't have spare parts around to get me out the door, but should be ready in about a month.

Another option for a front lip is the RKP Carbon front lip There are adjustable under splitters available as well. Painted Carbon

Is this going to be for the OEM bumper or for the 3D lip only? |

it will work w/ the OEM bumper since the mounting points will be the same. according to the guys at APR, they could make two different lengths available if the one for the lip sticks too far out from the stock bumper. The 3D Design lip sticks out 1.5" from the bumper. The splitter will add another 2". The other thing to consider is that you may need something to add additional support under the middle part of the bumper since it's higher than the sides. APR may provide the spacers to make this work too. when i go back for the test fitment, i'm going to bring a friend who doesn't have a lip yet to see what else needs to be done for the OEM bumper.

The lip on the green M2 is just of the upper RKP front lip. The one on the white M2 is the upper RKP front lip with the painted Fall-line lower splitter.

With the limited number of tuning shops represented in Australia, I looked at getting the AC Schnitzer front lip with the canards. I know it isn't to everyone's taste but at least it looks like ACS has done some testing on their kits and is part of the ACS2 program that has chalked up some impressive times. Unfortunately I just saw the installation manual of the front lip and it is a massive undertaking. Not only do you have to screw the lip attachments to the underside of the bumper, you have to remove part of the bumper and the black bits of the front wheel well and drill holes through the number plate holder, and cut off part of the existing bumper to fit a bracket that holds it in place. So back to square one. Any other Australian distributors for a good front lip? |

Very interesting thread... Had being debating about what front lip to install with my other OEM carbon bits, since I don't particularly enjoy the OEM wings. Just noticed that Lightweight has a carbon version of his lip. Anyone with pics and/or experience with it.

Can you somehow ask the guy if it is custom made or a production splitter from a company? |

I’d love to ask but i don’t speak German. Lol. My hunch is that it’s a front splitter for another car...not the m2 but mounted similar to the lightweight.
You can make it relatively easy. . 1) Buy pvc trim boards 1/2” 4x8 sheet... cut out shape with a jig saw... https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-2-in-x...0360/205079515 Sand the edges to smooth it out if you don’t have a router. 2) then either wrap it, paint it, or lay some carbon fiber. Wrap is probably $10, Carbon fiber kits would be more like $50-100. You can do the same to make the side skirts. Probably cost all but $100-200 + time. I’d do it but wife says I can’t mess with this car. Last edited by Bt12; 11-26-2017 at 02:53 PM.. |

Update
After a few delays (hardware related) we are finally set to release the RKP GP front lip tomorrow. The new lip will be available in Gloss carbon (2x2) and FRP (fiberglass) in a Satin black finish.
