It can be done in expert mode, but only for the drivers seat. The module for the passengers seat is currently not available even though it is listed. I just connected to my car and it had a grey dot next to it (instead of a green one) meaning it can't be accessed at this time. 3012 EAH > EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS > Custom Value > 0x00, 0x64

3012 EAH > EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS > Custom Value > 0x00, 0x00

Note: The 0x64 byte entry is how far back the seat will go and it is equal to 100mm. You can change that 64 to something higher or lower to suit your personal needs.

Keep in mind I have NOT tried or tested this myself but others have done it on ESYS and it seems to have worked for them:

I want to code my driver's seat for easy entry, I have e-sys and used it today for the first time and successfully added enhanced bluetooth (EBT) to my 2014 F30.

I don't yet have BimmerCode or the OBDII adapter.

My question is, it is easier to code the driver's seat using BimmerCode or e-sys?

I'm debating purchasing BimmerCode and the adapter, but I've already purchased the e-sys cable and started learning e-sys.

It's easier/quicker to code with bimmercode but not as many things are accessible to code. The app simply can't do everything yet.

Display volume pop-up on head unit
Easy entry (program driver's seat)

Do you recommend using E-SYS or BimmerCode?

I read that BimmerCode on Expert Mode is similar to E-SYS but easier to use...

No. The reader emits it's own signal. You connect the phone to that via wifi.

I think you'll be able to do most if not all of that on bimmercode. Can't tell you for sure because what you can/can't code depends on the year and model of your car. Since i have an 17 M2 and you have a 14 3er our menu layout and module names and stuff will be different.

Does anyone know how to make a backup? I've read that the app makes auto backups but when I choose "restore" it only restores to the og restore point I think. I'd like the option to create multiple restore points to troubleshoot, etc. I'm on android if that makes a difference.

Backups are automatically made every time you code something new.
It doesn't overwrite the old one, it makes a new one.
They are sorted by date and time chronologically.
If you've only coded one thing you'll only have one back up file.

I'm on IOS. Not sure if the android app works differently. I assume they're identical.

I prefer white/orange lighting like attached picture when headlight is on (default is full orange, which I am not a big fan of). It'd be even better if brightness increases a little bit. Thanks.

It used to be possible but is no longer able to be done (since 2014/2015).

I have been using the bimmerlink app for exhaust flap/asd control with the carista obd wifi connector. Is there any way to use bimmercode with carista? For some reason my car has not picked up the signal for any vgate device I've tried.

Pick any module.
Select it.
Click the backups button in the bottom right hand corner.
Pick the one you want to load and it will restore those settings.

They removed it. Doesn't exist on cars with newer versions of ISTEP.
My 2017 used to have the option and after a software update it ceased to exist.
Also don't recall that there was ever a 4 blink option. It was 3 or 5.
